if you could send me a recipe from the herbal D-tox cookbook to check out and see if its hard to make and what foods can be used that would be great. I'm considering buying it. other than that this site is really neat i like the courses that are offered thanks vanessa

DGM says...
I am also looking to see what kinds of recipes are offered in the cookbook before I buy it. Are the recipes easy to follow, incoporate the healthy food I currently eat, quick recipes?

Ruth Luck says...
I would like to see some recipes before I buy the book,

Valerie says...
I think there should definately be a better example of what recipies are in the book. Also, you must indicate what shipping/handling and tax charges are. I am not willing to give my credit card info without the above. Alternatively, please provide Western Canada (specifically Vancouver) locations where to pick up a copy of your book. Cheers.

JJ says...
Would it be possible to send me some example recipes? I would like to buy this book but there isn't a great description.

Lori says...
This cookbook is a must have, it jazzes up the cleanse so that it is not boring, and their recipes are great even when not on the cleanse. Some of the recipes are now my favorites.

Judy McNevin says...
I just began the detox today and as it indicates, I feel very slight nausia. I also wasn't hungry from taking these tablets. My only concern is that I may lose weight. I am 110 lbs 5'3". If I lose weight, it shows very clearly! How would I avoid this. Also, it mentions that there is a cookbook to go with the kit. There was nothing inside so I am assuming that it is separate (no problem). Is there any online recipes as I have already started the detox. Another question!!! I have chronic cough and have had a slight infection on and off for several months. I feel it is from all of the chemical exposure I have had in the past year (bombarded with it). I think it has affected my lympatic system as when I had one of a series of ongoing massages the tenderness went away after the massage to a specific area where the lymph glands are (armpit area). Now the other side is affected but the therapist is away until January so it is bothering me slightly. Will the detox help or hinder this? Should I be on something else? Or can I do both at the same time? Thanks kindly for your response in advance. I met Terry this fall at Rainbow Foods in Ottawa. I was drawn to him without even looking. I believe that it was intended as I prayed for help after having a car accident. His healing power to me far exceeded his knowledge of herb plants. I feel honoured and very furtunate to have met him! Judy

Michelle says...
I purchased the detox kit and am interested in the book but would like to have an idea of the sort of receipes. Please send some examples. Also, would be nice to know the amount of shipping...dont want any surprises on my credit card. Many thanks.

Michelle says...
These recipes are simple and basic. Anyone could use this book! Thanks, it made all the difference for my detox. And to all the people wanting examples. This book is available to view at many health food stores, and its very reasonably priced, what are you waiting for?

Marie says...
This is one of my favorite cookbooks! Every recipie I've tried so far is great, and I've had it for at least 2 years. The Lentil Soup, Curried Spinach Soup, and Eggplant Dip freeze quite well, and I recently tried freezing the Leek, Potato, and Eggplant Casserole to much success. It's easy to double the recipies for the freezer so that you have something quick and handy for those moments of weakness! It would be great to have a second book with even more recipies, but this is more enough to get someone started while maintaining variety.

denise says...
looking for sample recipes - my boyfriend wants to have lots of alternatives for food on the D-tox Thanks, Denise

Donna says...
Do you have some recipes that I could see before purchasing the book? My husband and I are doing the 12-day herbal d-tox program.

Alina says...
Like many people, I was thinking "show me some recipes as an example, and I MAY buy this book"... Well, this was the best $11 I've spent in a loooong time! Recipes are simple, doable (I hate cooking, yet I enjoyed making these sometimes outrageous--for me--dishes) and taste wonderful. I've learned to use herbs - especially fresh ones - those DO make a difference. I've now bought some seeds and will grow my own - fresh and organic. Can't beat that! The cookbook not only has recipes, but also gives cooking times for various grains, lists what you can and can't eat -without it the detox would have been impossible for me to do, as my cooking skills suck. Yet, I've made a bunch of great dishes and we have no incorporated them into our "normal" life. For the duration of the detox we tried to buy organic as much as we could (or afford), and now we still buy some of the vegetables in our health food store. We also switched to soy milk - just because it was part of the detox and we don't want to "rock the boat" - I've lost 15 lbs and my husband 20 lbs - without going hungry! My only piece of advice is that if you plan to start the detox, (1) start it before a weekend, (2) cook a dish or two from the cookbook, so you don't end up eating "rabbit food" like we did on the second day. The easiest dish to cook for us was the Baked Chicken. I used skinless chicken thighs (we don't like white meat) with all the fat removed. To make it a full meal, we took the cookbook's suggestion to add to the baking dish cut up yams, sweet potatoes, normal potatoes, carrots, parsnips - you name it! Used all the recommened herbs/spices and virgin olive oil, wrapped into foil (then you have more "juice")- and the meal was ready to eat straight from the oven. It was DELICIOUS! Hardly any chopping or other work! We now bake a few portions, so we have it for a couple of days and lunches. Another favourite of ours was the vegetable goulash - wow!!! The bottom line - don't haw and hem, just get the cookbook - you won't regret it!

Alesha Campbell says...
I just started the detox and I am interested in getting the cookbook but I would love a sample of the recipes to see if they are easy to make and what they are like. Can you email me one or two? Thanks

Jody says...
Just started detox yesterday. So far I am finding it quite challenging as I am a carb-aholic. LOVE the cookbook...great stuff...definetly worth it!

Kelly says...
The Detox kit hardest the first time. Subsequent use far easier. Love the potato and cauliflour curry recipe in the book and the home-made falafel. Excellent.

filomena says...
just started to herbal detox and am having troubles with breakfasts. Can you send me some sample recipes before I purchase the cookbook? thank you

Shannon says...
There are not enough examples of breakfasts in this book. I found breakfast to be the hardest meal to accomodate. I would also like to see more "dessert" suggestions... even if it's just something like cut up berries with soy milk.

Kels says...
Im only on the third day and i am starting to to get sick of chicken and fish could i have a few example recipes that are fast and easy to try before i buy the book. And I would also noticed that people find that they lose weight during this progam... I am 5'5" and 107lbs i would perfer not to lose weight.

Leanna Thien says...
Where can I buy this book in Vancouver, BC - and do you have any sample recipes? I just started the D-Tox today (Feb. 1/06) Cheers, L :-)

Tamara says...
I wish I could see a sample of the recipe's in the book; I would like to know the difficulty level of the recipes and also the ingredients.

MLB says...
Does anyone ever review or respond to the comments logged?

Kim says...
This is the second time I have done the wild rose detox and I am on my third day. I LOVE IT! This time I have my boyfriend and best friend doing it and they love it. I lost 13 pounds last time and was never hungary. I work in a bar (it is tough at first not to have booze) and people that didn't know that I was on the detox said I was glowing and that I looked great. There is so much to eat just look at the labels. Chicken, brown rice, spices, spices, spices. They add so much flavour. Fish, ground turkey, almond butter, rice cakes, fruit, veggies, hummous. WOW I could be here all day. I reccomend all the new people to go to a health food store and tell them you are on the wild rose detox and get them to help you. That is what I did. Just remember it is only 12 days so good luck!!

Sue says...
Hi, I have just started the detox program this morning. And yes, from reading all the attached comments; I simply MUST have your cookbook. I am going to check out all the health food stores in my area at lunch hour while I buy rabbit food for my lunch. Could you please send me a couple sample recipes that I could use for over the weekend... My husband is a meat & potato man and more times I find that I am cooking for him and not me.... but a couple of receipes would be nice to tide me over to the weekend giving me time to hunt for your cookbook otherwise I will most defintely be ordering it on line. If I do, what would the shipping cost be and what would the time frame be; would/could it be sent by overnight courier? Can you tell I am an impatient - ha, ha. Please adivse. Thanks a bunch as I am hoping that this will be a life style change experience for me!

Can I buy this book anywhere in the UK?

danielle says...
I am so impressed. As a mom who has an underactive thyroid & a busy lifestyle with 3 kids, the cleanse was not disruptive in any way. i was able to carry out my day-to-day activities & feel good doing it (after the 1st couple of days) as opposed to feeling like i am dragging myself around. Also as a fitness fan i am always concerned with eating clean & healthy & this diet definately fits the bill. i am continuing to eat this way even though i have completed the detox. thank you so much!!

Maria Madeira says...

I loved the 12 day detox. I didn't realize how blah I was feeling until I started the program. The energy I gained from this 12 day program was simply amazing, and much needed. I am in a much better state of mind (I am less stressed, stress is easier to deal with). I feel great about my body. I am eating healthier, I am more aware of the quality of food I am putting into my mouth. My husband has noticed a huge difference in my attitude as well, and overall I am a much happier person because of it. I truly thankyou!!!! I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to improve their health and for their quality of life. It is Great!!

Michelle says...
Are there any examples of recipes for breakfast, lunch or dinner? It would make the detox a bit easier as it's hard to ensure I'm making the correct food choices. Also, where can the book be bought in the Vancouver (North) area?

Samantha says...
I bought this book and followed the recipes before doing the cleanse. I would recommend this to anyone who will find this cleanse a huge adjustment. I felt lighter and more alert after a few days of these recipes. This time, I will do the supplements and the recipes. It is too bad that there are not sample recipes available on here, but take everyone's word for it, buy it as it helps to fill your fridge with all the good stuff and none of the bad! I just made the Veggie soup and the Curried Spinach soup and they are wonderful!

Chris says...
I see comment after comment where people ask where to buy the book.... and nobody responds. I like the Herbal D-tox and it doesn't take an MBA to figure out that you should: a.) bundle the cook-book and Detox kit b.) at least sell them at the same locations (health stores) c.) for god sakes, reply to your customers who are asking where to buy the cook-book! I to want to know where the book is being sold so I can look it over and make sure the recipe's are to my liking. thanks chris

Carissa Hanson says...
To all of you fence sitters. Just suck it up and buy the book. I bought it a year ago while on detox and still use it today. It makes the detox way easier and is full of great recipes for those times when you don't think you can make it without pasta or bread!
