Wild Rose

Internal cleansing is considered to be the cornerstone of good health by many natural health care practitioners. Pollutants from the environment - found in the air, water and foods that we eat - as well as wastes produced from normal bodily processes, can tend to accumulate within the body and lead to a state of congestion. To help maintain a healthy balance of assimilation and elimination, the Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox Program is uniquely designed to enhance all aspects of metabolism.

Wild Rose Biliherb formula gently promotes bile production by the liver, supporting digestion and enhancing the elimination of toxins. Laxaherb, Cleansaherb and CL Herbal Extract additionally support the cleansing and elimination of wastes from the system.

This was an excellent way to kick-start a healthy eating plan! It forces you to learn quick meal ideas that don't include bowls of cereal, chips or pizza! I feel great and would definitely recommend it to anyone. One problem I found is because I still exercised while on the D-Tox, I was a bit more tired than usual.

wanda says...
The first few days were really tough. I wanted carbo's and sugar real bad. I stuck with it and I feel great. I was tired while doing the D-Tox, especially if I exercised. Now I don't feel bloated or cramped after I eat. I also lost 9 lbs. It has motivated me to try the Slim-Tech!

Wild Man says...
We first tried the d-tox program back in Jan 04. As mentioned above, the first few days were tough. If you aren’t use to eating healthy, and rely on quarter-pounders with cheese to supplement your diet, you’ll find the transition tough as well. But, we stuck with it… religiously! I usual weigh in at 225 lbs (6’3” male). This 12 day program brought me down to 210 lbs. The knowledge gained from the diet plan helped me loose the final 10 lbs. 6 months later, I remain right where I want to be. 60% of my meals are the same as the d-tox program suggests, but at least one meal a week, I revert to cheeseburgers and pizza. We are now finishing day 6 of our second run through this program. It’s much easier this time and we find that we don’t spend as much time in the washroom. Fatigue is also not quite as bad this time. Again, if you’re looking for a kick-start, seriously consider this program. You’ll learn a lot and feel great when it’s done. Really, 12 days isn’t that long!

I tried this after the birth of my first child and lost 10 pounds on it. I reached my goal weight with excercise and the help of this program but I did find myself more tired than usual but that went away after I completed the program. I continued with the eating plan for 3 more weeks after and lost 4 more pounds. Now I have had my second child 9 months ago and am excited to start the program again to start out my post-pregnancy weight loss again (you should be done breastfeeding to do the program). This program really helped me.

Pamela Bell says...
I started the Cleanse last May. It was not a difficult regime as long as you equip your kitchen with appropriate complements to the diet (ie. lots of lemons, Bragg seaoning, tons of almonds, slow-cooking oatmeal, brown rice, vegetables vegetables vegetables and fresh northern fruit. My two daughters 26 and 14 took the cleanse along with me. We all noticed fatigue and weirdness headachey stuff for the first 2 or 3 days. From then on we only felt extremely calm with lots of energy. The sugar highs and lows are totally eliminated ! When I started this regime of eating I was size 14/16 ( emphasis on 16) By July I was buying size 8 clothes in the Gap and by Oct. I had to replace them with size 6 ! I have lost 30 lbs. by eating the cleanse diet, and I never feel hungry. I live in Toronto and by the response of all my friends I should be receiving a commission on all the Wild Rose Cleanses that have been sold here!! The positives from eating this way far outweigh the downside of bread pasta dairy fat sugar as far as I'm concerned. My husband didn't go on the cleanse but he is now at least 15 lbs lighter because of our family's new eating style ! Thank you Wild Rose and Terry Willard. Yours, Pamela Bell

Bryanne says...
I definitely give this d-tox program 5 wild roses. I could feel it working from the first day. I did get the common side effects, tiredness and headaches. They lasted about 8 days but I guess that just means a lot of toxins were being eliminated. I don't feel bloated anymore and don't crave sugar or breads like I did prior to starting. I found preparing meals was easy and a great opportunity to create some new meals with fish. However, I think I would've liked it more if I had the cookbook prior to starting it. But to get it after having just finished it would still be beneficial to be able to continue with the "diet". I'm glad I used this cleanse as opposed to others on the market.

Sue says...
I started this on Sept 13, 2004 and I feel really good, mentally, physically and emotionally. It was tough, especially the first weekend. You must really commit to this. I was constantly buying veggies, cutting, washing, cooking and washing again to ensure I had my meals planned ahead of time. Using the available food, I thought up recipes that I could make a batch of for lunch or dinner for a couple of days. Eggs and Ham, with tomatoes and 1/2 a baked potato for breakfast was pretty kewl. It was well worth it. I also lost 7.5 pounds.

miss pink says...
I am on day 7 of this cleanse and feeling great. I was just reading over some of the criticisms on here and want to emphasize that you really need to read the warnings and suggestions in the box. If you have stomach problems, IBS etc it clearly states to not do this cleanse. As well to moderate the Laxaherb if it is too laxative in the first few days. I knew to not even take the Laxaherb until day 4 until my body had settled into the other pills. As well you can put the drops in natural juice or herbal fruit tea and you can't even taste them. To avoid being hungry all the time you need to eat A LOT, and you can eat really well on this program, I am eating like a queen and still losing weight. I did feel very fatigued at first and had headaches but they go away. Now my skin is starting to glow and I feel really good. I would highly reccommend this D-tox but heed the warnings, weak stomachs beware.

very easy to follow while leading a busy life. great results, too.

Detoz says...
Love the product. only followed it for about 6 days and lost 7 pounds. i stopped becuase i was feeling very fatigued and also i had a big performace coming up, i could not risk being so tired. But the pill did make me very sick, i would suggest doing a smaller cleanse before this, or even starting the diet a week earlier so you get used to it.

asher says...
I have been on the program twice now - once a year for the last 2 years. On it again now. Swear by it once a year. Real symptoms include: First 3 days: mild fatigue, mild headache, hunger. Duration to End: cravings for healthy food, energy, clear skin, weight loss, clarity of thought. Just keep going through the first little bit and you will feel AWESOME.

DannaBanana says...
i have done this cleanse 5x over the last 5 years, and i am getting ready to do another in a few weeks. i LOVE this cleanse. its a great way to get 'back on track' with my eating habits and i always lose a bit of weight. i feel great while doing it and after! i highly recommend this cleanse to anyone, even first time cleansers! TIP: if you are a first time cleanser (or even if you have done one before) its a good idea to spend a few days, even up to a week, eating like you are on the cleanse. i think it gives your body a chance to get adjusted/prepared for the cleanse. i find the first few days on the cleanse easier whein i do this!! GOOD LUCK!!!

zeestacers says...
GREAT program! This is my second time on Herbal D-Tox! The first time was so rewarding! It was hard, but it was WELL WORTH IT!!! I've never felt healthier, more rejuvenated, and totally cleansed. You can eat a ton of things on this diet. It's not that limiting. You can also explore different foods and grains and creatively cook up a nourishing meal. I suggest some form of excercise with this program, as well, such as yoga.

Vivianne My Private Chef says...
I have done this cleanse several times and am a big fan! It is a challenge to stick to the menu plan as our culture has gotten so far removed from healthy eating. My clients are asking for meals to help them with the cooking side of things and I have created quite a few recipes along the plans guidelines. I always loose a bit of weight which makes me wonder how much S#*! we usually carry around! I love the fact that Organics are recommended!

baby machine says...
I am very happy with the results of this program, i have done this d-tox 5 times now over the last 5 years, the first time i did it i lost 20 lbs in the 12 days, i have in each time lost the weight i needed. i am not really sure if the d-tox has anything to do with it or not but shortly after i do the program i get pregnant every time!! gives me the energy i need and i am left feeling light and not bogged down by toxins. love this diet!!!!!

vancitygirl says...
my mom just finished using it and she feels great. she's got more energy, she sleeps better and she lost 12 pounds. (now she's gotta try to gain it all back cause she looks too skinny now)!!!! as for me, I just started using it three days ago and i have been feeling a bit moody and low on engery but on the positive side, i cannot believe how much s... can come outta one person. the weird this is that i don't have the food cravings like others do, but rather i've got no appetite and have to force myself to eat so i don't get too weak. all in all, it realy worked for mom, i hope it will for me too.

Gramps says...
I am losing weight like a Biafran. Besides my hair and teeth falling out this is the greatest purge I've ever had. Thanks Wild Rose!

Charlie says...
1. Do the D-Tox when you are totally committed: There may be a complete change of what you're used to eating. You must be open to learning and exploring foods. 2. Do it with a partner: For motivation, monitoring, assistance, etc... 3. Start it on a long weekend like Easter. The first couple of days requires your full, undivided attention. You get used to it after a few days. I was very hungry on the second day and craved pizza, chocolate, etc.. and I had 7 bowel movements. By the 3rd day I had a smaller appetite, less cravings, and the bowel movements decreased to twice a day. I didn't get any headaches and I wasn't overly tired or nauseous but I was more irritable than usual. My partner was very nauseous so she reduced the # of pills. I'm on day 10 now and I feel a little better from eating better but I don't feel a major transformation. The major benefit for me was the introduction to better, tasty foods that I wouldn't normally eat.

Trika says...
I tried this product, and while I'm sure it had some health benefits, I can't say I really noticed a difference. By purchasing the cookbook as well however, it helped me focus on healthier eating and kick start my post pregnancy weight-loss and gym routine. As a note to all the people hoping it will help them lose weight, I lost 10 lbs right away but 8 was water weight and came back in about 3 days despite keeping up the healthy eating.

Wes Terner says...
My wife and I have completed the cleanse 10 times over the past 5 years, twice a year. We start it every time there is a clock change from daylight savings and back. The first time was a challenge as I had a sweet tooth. I lost 15 LBS. in 12 days and am now hooked. The more you do this cleanse the more your regular diet becomes the same as the cleanse. Can't wait for the next one, it makes you feel so great.

Lisa Ammirati says...
I have been using this kit as a detox for about 5-6 years. I always make sure to do it once a year except for last year when I slacked off. I love my sweets and candies so the first time I did this was VERY hard. What really helps this program is if you get the cookbook-when you can actually show your mind that you CAN eat some interesting combinations, it won't feel like you are on a diet. Even though I do not have candida, yeast is the number one cause of any weight gain-that and sugar. I have found many little tricks to use with this program that get me the thorough cleanse that I need. Though I haven't tried any other programs before, I have to say that when I do this detox, I feel better than ever. I lose 7-10 pounds and am happy to know that all the toxins in my body are coming out of me. This program is very straightforward, easy to follow and provides excellent results. I do warn you all that you have to be absolutely ready to drop anything that you eat which is bad for you-you have to go on this knowing that you will be doing it all "Cold turkey". You need to be in that mind set and make a committment to this program. Even though you can eat a lot of food that is GOOD for you, it is hard to get rid of that stuff that isn't good for you too-use the cookbook, use your imagination and push yourself to make it all the way through. Dr. Willard did a fabulous job with this kit-it is easy to use, educational, and a great way to change your style of eating while encorporating more of the natural foods! I am so glad I don't have to drink liquids all day and sit on my toilet. Thanks to this program, I can eat within the guidelines and really feel the weight come off-mentally and physically.

Lisa Darlene says...
I should also point out that the more you do this detox, the easier it gets. I found the first few times to be very trying on me because I was doing it cold turkey-no mental preparation. Also, it is good to be around your loo in the first few days-bowel movements do happen more often which is rather tricky-after that, everything is back to normal. I will be starting mine up again in 2 weeks as well.

Alina says...
This product exceeded my wildest expectations! After undergoing a long cancer treatment (incl. chemo and radiation) I felt like a slug and looked like a slug. The follow-up hormone treatment caused me to gain 30 lbs, and that was really depressing! I've been looking into some kind of cleansing (never done it before) for a good 6 months. I've talked to a few people, who used Wild Rose 12-Day Detox and got the impression that this is the one for me (my husband joined me, too). The drops, diluted in about a cup of water, had hardly any taste, so I didn't find this a problem. We followed the food recommendations very strictly, and enjoyed the food more and more, once we got the hang of the recipes. I did miss sugar a bit and bread/cereals, but for 12 days I could do that! I got some spiced rice cookies and put tahini on it (my first experience with tahini - really liked it!). Breakfasts were the most challenging as we were quite set in our ways (cereals) and had to cook oatmeal the previous evening. Added prunes and stevia to improve taste. Also added cinnamon and pure vanilla extract - just experimenting... Surprisingly, we didn't have "the runs" like some people! Actually, I had to increase my dose of Laxaherb (bought an extra bottle at my health food store). The bottom line is that within first 4 days I lost 3 lbs while eating healthy, drinking lots of water - and I couldn't attribute the weight loss to... "runs", as I had none. My husband lost about 10 lbs during the 12-day detox - partially because of the herbs, but also because of the healthy meals that we started preparing (had to learn to plan ahead a bit). To date, aside from having more energy (no more "slugging") after 44 days from finishing the detox I've lost a total of 15 lbs! My husband lost about 20 lbs (guys are so lucky!) and we both feel like a million bucks! My self-esteem went up (yeah, I know that beauty lies within, but when all your clothes get too tight to wear, it's a real bummer) and I started looking after myself. My husband and I have decided to do this at least once a year! We are also committed to a new way of eating (without going too far, that is...) as we loved most of the recipes included in the cookbook - we may have had a real problem with meals if it hadn't been for the cookbook. Since then, 4 of our friends are seriously interested in the detox and got the cookbooks! I strongly recommend this 12-day detox!

I am on my 4th wild rose cleanse in 2 years. I agree with some of the comments regarding headaches initiatially and lots of bathroom time in the first 3 days or so - I decreased the laxaherb the first 2 times I have done it. I continue to exercise while on the program just a little less vigorously. I disagree with whoever said you are hungry all the time and have to eat like a rabbit. You can eat lots of food on this program and you are not supposed to go hungry. You just have to plan ahead. I feel great when the program is finished, have lost ~ 6-8 lbs each time and most of it stays off. It is quite an easy program to follow but yes you do have to be committed. The cravings go away after the 2nd day or so and you don't even want the sweets and bad carbs etc. When finished the program I stick to the food plan ~ 70% of the time. I think this is a really good cleanse!

Wendy says...
I have completed this cleanse 4 times now; every Spring and Fall for the past two years. It really works to keep your diet and body in check. Anyone who complains about this cleanse is obviously not reading the directions closely - take one laxative pill instead of two if the bowel movements are too severe. LOTS of water and herbal teas (I mean LOTS - you pee every hour) throughout the day are an absolute MUST to flush toxins from the system. I learned this the very first time I tired the cleanse. Also, the diet is not difficult. If you are not used to eating healthy, then you will find it very challenging. Being on this cleanse does take dedication: it is like raising a baby for two weeks! I come home every second evening and prepare my food for the next two days. I have plenty of tupperware containers on hand. After I cook my food, I make containers for my lunches and dinners for two days - learn to prepare/eat leftovers. I only need to make breakfast in the morning (Cooked Oats OR Red Mill brand are great - add ground coriander and cinnamon with a dash of soy milk and your good to go!). I grab my pre-prepared lunch container out of the fridge on the way out the door. It is essential to be well-organized. This said, on day two-to-four I still experience wicked headaches and bodyaches but I know this is a result of the removal of toxins from deep tissues - just know when to start the cleanse - mid week on Wednesday is good so your rough days happen on the weekend when you can lay down and close your eyes or go for a long walk. Lastly, my facial skin looks amazing by the time I finish this cleanse - absolutley glowing and pimple free.

JB says...
Headache for first day, followed by some fatigue for the next few. Energy levels right back up in a few days though. I am already fit and lost 4 pounds. Key ingredients to help you out :) Nuts, real butter & popcorn, dash seasoning and sushi (no soy sauce though)! It definately cleans the system out ;) The post below me is definately right about the broom breaks!

Mctash says...
Great program! This is my second time around doing the cleanse. The first time was hard to stick to, but I determined to follow the program to a T this time... I just have a problem finding good breakfast foods. Any suggestions???

Patricia says...
This detox is simply spectacular. Prior to going on the program I was incredibly bloated - so much so that I swear I looked pregnant. Within the first week, the bloatedness went away - as did my headaches. I now feel like a million dollars. It's too bad that there are some who quit the program during the first week (b/c the side effect were too much for them) - by the second week you feel simply fabulous. As well - there are so many food options on this program - it makes it easy to eat.

April says...
This product is definately worth buying! For the last 4 months I have felt heavy, bloated, I have been getting headaches, and I felt lethargic. I knew it was time to do a cleanse! This is the first time I have tried the Wild Rose Cleanse and I like it better than the other ones I have tried. I only lost 2lbs on it, but I feel a hundered times better. I have more energy, my belly doesn't feel bloated and heavy, and I feel more healthier. The diet plan was a tad hard to stick to. I live by myself and preparing these meals was quite the task. I found eating oatmeal for breakfast filled me up and gave me a good start to the day. The cleansing drops that are part of the cleanse do not taste too well. If you mix them in a glass of water and when you drink you hold the breath through your nose, you can't taste it. The third day I felt a bit nasuated, but it went away when I drank peppermint tea. Peppermint tea is excellent for calming the stomach! I didn't notice much increasement in the number of bowel movements I had because I am regular, but I did notice the size of the bowel movements increased drastically! I also had some gas, but nothing I couldn't handle in a public place. I highly recommend this cleanse! If you are not buying it online, shop around at local health food stores. I found the cleanse ranged between $29.99 - $37.99, and if you are a student like me, every doller counts!

Cheech says...
This was the 2nd time I tried this. I planned ahead of time, bought the necessary foods to follow the eating plan and after about day 3 I felt incredibly healthy. My stomach was so flat, finally getting rid of all of the white products and sugar I had accumulated over the past 6 months. I lost about 8 pounds, and had no cravings after about day 3. I would highly recommend this to everyone I know. It is very easy to follow and stick with!

maew says...
I loved this cleanse, I like the fact that you can eat as much as you want of the foods on the list, and am always on an adventure looking for more kinds that I can eat....... I did feel sick, achey with a headache for the first day, the next few days I was tied to the bathroom and pretty cramped, but after that it was amazing, felt so much energy and alot less thirsty and my skin was so nice and clear and healthy looking....... for those that DO NOT want to lose weight, I ate lots of snacks all the time, like almonds and almond butter with rice cakes, popcorn, fruit, etc. That seemed to keep the weight on my bones :) I am just about to do it again and will definitely prepare more meals ahead of time, that was what I found the hardest was all the time it took to prepare the meals.

CutiePie says...
I am a huge junk food fanatic and some how I have winged myself off. I am only on day 10. At the beginning I felt dizzy and had a few headaches, now I feel better. On the 3rd day I gave in for a square and on the 8th day I had a sandwich with cheese but all is good now :). I never got the bathroom symptoms though. Anyway so far so good on this product. I will try again in a few months and this time really stick to it. It definitely is a good way to start a diet and cut junk out of you life. The only down part is I could not really think of anything to eat for breakfast but apples.

Amy says...
This detox can be hard the first few days, I felt pretty rotten on the second day, but then started to feel progressively better as each day went by. Suffered some serious sugar cravings on the 4 and 5th day but made it through. I have already lost 8lbs and feel fantastic. Would highly recommend this program.

Choadee says...
This was my first cleanse and after doing it without cheating, I feel great. The first few days I felt kind of weak and sick to my stomach, but that passed by day 6. However, I did find that I was constantly hungry, but snacking through out the day helped. I found I needed something to eat about every 3 hours or so to feel satisfied. For breakfast my spouse and I came up with something special and yummy. Fry up cold brown rice with an egg, and cinnamon. Add strawberries, raspberries, and dried mint. Place rice mixture in a bowl and add soy milk, and sprinkle the top with more cinnamon. I like it best when you fry the rice until it's crispy. You can also add other fruit as well. I hope this help some of you. Enjoy!

ritz says...
I'm on day 6 and it has been difficult. I find it challenging when I am the only person in the house trying to do this while everyone else munches on choclate chip cookies and french fries! I love my munchies so this has been especially challenging...however I have great willpower!! Also, I am on the can more some days than others but not extensively as others have experienced...I hope that means nothing but I guess everyone responds differently. I have seen major improvements in energy and skin texture. I experienced a headache and achiness on the first day. One more week and counting....

gramma 1 says...
This is my first time do a cleanse and I can't believe that I stuck to it. I had no cravings, no headaches, no fatigue. I lost 10# and feel great. I ate lots of rice cakes and almond butter and salads. I didn't eat too much fish because I only like fresh fish or canned tuna and salmon. I would highly recommend this to everyone. I have started the slim-tech one this week and never noticed that I could add mushrooms and cottage cheese to it wonderful I am only on day 2 but no problems so far.

terriyaki says...
Nearing the end of my first ever cleanse and cannot believe I have actually done it! The first few days are tough but worth it. I think it is easy to feast on the approved list. As a result I came nowhere near the 10 pounds most people claim to have lost. Perhaps I drank too much water and herbal tea(12plus cups per day). Looking forward to doing it again with my husband on board. Good luck to everyone just starting or about to start!

Fancy Pants says...
On Day 4 of the cleansing.....not too sure right now about it, but after reading some helpful ideas, I will stick with for a couple of more days for sure. Very nauseated and will try drinking peppermint tea to see if it passes. Nausea usually starts right after I eat and goes away 2 hours later. The side effects have been definately true for me, but I am losing weight already.

David says...
I just started the detox program and after seven days I feel great. I am not following the diet regime as much as I should and I am only taking it in the morning BUT IT IS STILL WORKING because I feel better than I have felt in years. I am turning the 12 day detox into a twenty four day program. I really recommend lowering the dosage if you feel ill.

Christopher says...
I am on my third De-tox since Sep 2004. Each time I do this program it gets easier. I now find that my headache only occurs on day 1, and from there everything is fine. Adjusting the laxaherb dose is also important, I tend to start at the recommended dose and then reduce after day 3 to one pill at breakfast and dinner. The benefits are clear, and each time I do a De-tox I feel great with a very even energy level and an increased ability to concentrate. This is a great program, and with some planning only a minor inconvience to your day-to-day schedule.

JWh says...
I am on day 7 of the Herbal Detox - each day gets better and better. The first 2 days were hard and Istill cringe when drinking the CL drops in my water, however everything is well worth it! One thing I can't wait to eat is sushi....I noticed some reviews (below) where people ate sushi without the soy sauce, however sushi rice has a vinegar as well as sugar - so I take it they were eating homemade sushi without the sushi rice?

intrepid user says...
I'm on day 4 and think I'm doing something wrong. I'm not going to the bathroom more often, and not getting headaches. I guess everyones reaction is different. I am following the recommended foods. And love the cook book I bought with it. It has made it a lot easier. I have discovered a new love for almonds. I am for sure going to continue for the whole duration. Even though grill cheese sandwiches are calling my name.

well this only my third day on the clense... so far i'm already enjoying it, i have tried other clense before, although i felt i wasn't getting alot of results, i do feel slightly quezzy already but i realize that that's the herbs doing there job. I already eat pretty healthy and i enjoy cooking so i do have experience cooking while on a clense, for breakfast i reccomend: sautay veggies like zuccini, fresh garlic ,peppers, onions, eggplant or whatever you prefure in water. add:spices such as italian blend or perhapes you could do a mexican blend or curry, whatever mood stricks you, i usually just cook them all in a pan with water, add: some cut up chunks of tofu, cook untill spices are saturated and veggies are soft, crack 5 egg whites in and sprinkle with salt and pepper a few slices of fresh avacadoe.. or a drizzle of olive or flax oil.. and yum yum! good snacking food: apples and almond butter or multigrain rice crackers, fresh carrots, celery,

I am on day 4 of the cleanse and have had a mild headache. I think it is partly due to caffeine withdrawal. I know that I can drink two cups of black coffee, but I want to try to eliminate my addiction. My only problem is that I have one big bowel movement a day and nothing more. I am usually very constipated, but only one bowel movement? It sounds like everyone is having more. I do urninate alot. How are these toxins actually expelled?

Alix says...
This is my third day on the program and I feel good. The first two days have been horrible with the head aches but they have not come today and I exercised for the first time in three days and feet great. Has anyone else been sweating profusely besides me because I am sweating like a savage. The only thing that has been hard for me was cutting out the alcohol. I enjoy wine usually on a daily basis so it's been a toughy. Love the product though I only wish I'd bought the cook book. Next time for sure.

Jamie Mackin says...
This program was excellent, and I accomplished everything I had hoped for, I lost 10 pounds on the program, and have a re-newed sense of energy that I never had before. I highly recommend this program.

Marcey says...
I am just finishing day 6 of the detox. This is my second time using the product. It's now an annual must! Honestly, I don't experience a lot of the symptoms tht others day they do. Yes, I have a much softer bowel movement, but it doesn't cause me pain. I never get headaches, and I feel fine at the gym. I don't work out too terribly hard as to test this, but I still do at least a half an hour cardio workout plus abs and arms. The hardest part for me is finding the desire to go out and do anything because I love red wine and fine dining. That being said, the cleanse is also spiritual because it allows you to think about how sometimes not indulging in everything we want is of benefit to us. It's a buddhist principle actually. The other thing is discipline. Some of my friends do the cleanse and somehow change it to fit their needs. I think it is important to adapt to the cleanse. In 12 days, you feel successful and are ready to take on the next challenge, whether that be a more strenuous workout regiment, or a healthier diet plan. Consistency in this way is key. I also eat a lot of sushi, but I eat Salmon Sashimi. I also drink a ton of Genmaicha Japanese Green Tea. This is an antioxidant, and only helps the cleanse. For Breakfast I eat Quick Oats and Sugarfree berries to add flavor. Overall, I think the cleanse works if you work it and give yourself to it. The pills and the tinxture are really not that bad either. It's all a mindset. Focus on the positive, and you will get much of it out of the Detox Program.

While I hear and read a lot of good reviews about this cleanse, I must say my experience with it is pretty negative. I have no problem at all eating the diet, and it is not much of a change from my usual eating habits. I generally prefer to have yoghurt for good bacteria, but can do without it, it doesn't matter. However, I have not felt this tired and sluggish in a long time, I also find I am bloaded all the time, and I gained weight. I have yet to see any positive effects, this is day eight, so I am almost finished. I have not exercised the way I normally do, and have been less productive at work, more cranky and impatient with my children, and have a reduced sex drive. I trust that these are all temporary side effects and hope that at least my skin glows at the end of this.

Well everyday is a struggle, because all I want are the things I'm not allowing myself to have..... cheese. It’s day 7 and still going strong, I feel great! Ideas For Breakfast: puffed millet, unsweetened soy, frozen blueberries thawed a bit. yum! Supper and lunch: make some wild fish with lots of dill and lemon, baby potatoes, yams, carrots, onion. OR I made a lentil swiss chard soup that was delish. Sweet tooth? Get a carrot apple celery juice made fresh. Hungry? How about a four bean chili with brown rice and four peppers, just be careful of the ingredients. Where there is a will there is a way, that’s what I keep telling myself……oh cheese.

I did this cleanse for the first time in June 2006. I lost 12 lbs in 12 days. Mind you, be prepared to make visits to the bathroom 2-3 times daily. Well worth the investment, if you consider your health to be of the utmost importance. I have not put this weight back on either as I have tried to stay with the foods they recommend during the cleanse process.

I am 54 years old and have been around 10-15 lbs overweight for years and have had chronic constipation forever. I did the cleanse in April of 2006. Now, I have always been a real skeptic of all things related to cleansings/diets and such. Wild Rose made a believer out of me and I just can't stop talking about it and raving about how it changed my life. I found, like most everyone else, the first few days to be tough, with headaches and tiredness. After that I started to feel great, with lots of energy. I thought the diet would be hard to follow but I ate fairly healthy before (along with junk food as well)so I just had to cut out the sugar/white flour foods from my diet. I was almost a size 16 before and now I am buying size 10 clothes. I can honestly say it did not feel like a diet at all. I can't believe the difference in the way I feel. I still stick to the eating habits about 80 % of the time and treat myself once in a while to indulgences. My constipation has corrected itself and that alone is amazing to me. This product has been life changing for me and I plan on doing a cleanse once a year to keep on track.

im on me 4th day of the detox, and im feelin better. the first days are indeed H. E DOUBLE HOCKY STICKS. but ya gotta understand that it is a DETOX!!!! and all the shit in your body is coming to the serfice!!! i recomend it as long as you got the will to do it.. iv lost weight, and i over the migranes, the first night of being on it i had a viscious migrane and then slept for 13 hours/... IF YOU ARE ADDICTED TO SUGER, HAVE A CUP OF BLACK COFFIE TO ACT AS A STIMULENT. I SWEAR BY IT!!!

Colene says...
I'm on day three and everyone says the first few days are the heardest. The food cravings are not a problem at all but feeling like death is not enjoyable. I'm hoping the symptoms that go along with this product will soon subside.

I am on day two and do not feel any different.I am not going to the bathroom anymore than before i started. I am following the diet,I do not know what i am doing wrong>

OK so my friend and I are half way thru day 4 of the Wild Rose detox. We've never done a detox / cleanse before. Here are our thoughts/opinions.....going into this Detox we were a bit afraid based on the feedback we had read. We don't find the pills that big at all and the drops aren't bad either...add them to a bit of water and it's fine. We haven't experienced tiredness, muscle ache or feeling sick. The only thing we seem to be experiencing are trips to the bathroom. Having said that it is only day 4.....let's hope we can make it to day 12 and let's hope that it's working for us.

Pumpkin says...
I am on day 11 of the d-tox and really don't feel any different than before. I felt a little tired the first two days but that is about it. For some reason my laxatives only kicked on on day 7 of the clense and are still going full force. I really want some dairy at this point but have not experienced any major cravings at all. And I have not cheated once. Maybe I was just not as full of toxins as I thought...lol. Undecided if I will do it again.

Lulu says...
I'm on day three and feel fine. I have not experienced any diahera or fatigue. I've purchased the cookbook and the recipes look great but I haven't tried any as of yet. I'm finding it hard to figure out the 20%/80% stuff. If I make the rice and lentil dish does that mean I can't have some chicken? Should I be adding vegetables? It would be a great help to have a suggested menu for the 12 days you are on the detox. Or even a few suggestion for breakfast lunch & dinner would be helpful. I'm hoping I'm doing things correctly and that everything is working properly.

H Bomb says...
This kit is brilliant. The first two or three days are grim but during that time your body gets rid of the digestive equivalent of Paris Hilton's morals. By Day 5, you're thinking of starting your own charismatic religion. By Day 10, your appetite is way down, especially for unhealthy food and you've solved Fermat's theorem. The key is not to celebrate (or retox) too hard when you are done. I'm on my fifth cleanse and, while I'm a big guy, I have consistently lost about 5-7% of whatever I am weighing at the time during the cleanse and one or two belt loops.

Sholome Johnston says...
The diet part is great and easy to following however if you have any issues with constipation this is not the cleanse to try. By day 3 I felt sick due to the lack of elimination. I am now at day 4 and still no movement! I plan to stick with it because I know the foods I am consuming are healthy and will eventually help my body rid itself of toxins however the herbal supplements are not making anything happen!

Ettuca says...
I'm 36, This is my first D-Tox and I still have 3 days left to complete. The first 2-3 days were difficult due to cravings, such a dramatic change in diet and reduced energy. There is a strict list of foods to follow, which have taught me to eat better and new ways to cook with healthier foods. My energy levels are better and I have lost a few pounds, not sure how much as I don't have a scale but guessing around 10 lbs. I will be trying the Slim Tech Program next.

I am now in the process of doing this detox program for the third time. I now make it a yearly "thing" I would recomend this program to anyone wanting to re-charge the body battery. I have also changed my eating habits since the first time I tried this and I amazed at how great I feel and the energy I now have. I'm in the 9th day and have dropped 9 lbs!! Judi C.

I am on day 5 of the detox and i feel great! It is my frist cleanse, i went cold turkey. I do have cravings for some 'pure' vegan cookies, teriyaki sauce, pineapple, and whole wheat bread with home made rasberry jam! I am sticking to the meal plan strictly and i have lost 5 pounds in the 5 days! I never got any headaches or weakness, i went to the gym on the 2nd day and felt more tired then normal but that was all. I have been going to to washroom alot and what comes out is pretty nasty. It feels good knowing that crap is out of my body! I find i am not craving food throughout the day and i dont need to eat after dinner anymore. The only thing is i find it hard to think of things to eat for breakfast, i am used to having organic cereal with soy. I have been having an apple with a fresh pressed carrot/apple/lime/ginger juice on weekdays and egg with potatoes and tomatoes on weekends. For dinner i have been experimenting alot with lemons and herbs for sauces, tonight i made a gorgious salmon flank i used the stuffed salmon recipie from the cookbook but just poured it over the salmon and baked it with lemon sliced on top of it all. was amazing! I definetly recomend this detox, i will be getting my mom on it right away. I will also be doing it 2ce a year from now on!!

Janeen says...
I'm just finishing the program, and I am wanting to continue with the food plan. It's obvious why wheat flour is so bad for you, but what would be a good subsitute? Could I use a rice flour or an arrowroot flour instead? Also, are natural sugars, such as Stevia and nectures alright to use in place of refined sugars, or are there better suggestions? I enjoyed the program, and I will do it again; I just don't know where to go from here to maintain the results but also enjoy the foods I eat.

D says...
followed the diet religiously, but didn't feel the 'cleansing' effect at all. I did however drop a few lbs. not sure i would do it again.

Andrea says...
Does it make a big difference if you put the drops in herbal tea, instead of water? I hope I'm not supposed to be chewing those pills, I'm swallowing them with water. I'm on day one, and finding the menu a little confusing too. I want to do this right, but find the specifics lacking. Example: is canned tuna part of the fish category? Or, just fresh fish?

Hello, I will put daily logs as to how this program is working. To start, I am as of March 27, 2007 214lbs (6'1" male). Day 1: Was horrible. I was starving, I had a headache and my co-workers said I looked like crap. Last night I woke up at 2:00am and did not go back to bed until 4:00am. Did not visit the washroom today like most people seem to have had. Day 2: March 28, I woke up and wasn't hungry. I did have a sore stomach. All I had today was a pear for breakfast and a coffee. I'm more energetic today. We will see what tonight brings.

Anna says...
This is for George... Make sure you drink LOTS of water...Headache and fatigue are normal on this...for many people this is a complete different way of eating combined with the herbal support. Even though you don't feel hungry try to eat and keep your metabolism and energy up throughout the day. Not eating is likely going to make you feel worse. Good luck! This is a wonderful cleanse that I am thoroughly enjoying. Anna

George F says...
Day 2: Well, today was better but it was my buddy’s birthday so I fell into the temptation and had a rack of Ribs and three pieces of cake (thanks Mrs. L). Again I had trouble sleeping and was up at midnight till about 4am (maybe all that cake). Going on day 3, this morning I feel great! Had an apple for breakfast and water. Lots of energy but my stomach is still weird and loss of appetite. I only went to the washroom once since starting. I’ve upped my water intake more (Thanks Anna) so again we will see what tonight brings. Although I pigged out on day two of this, I do notice a difference. My jeans are about to fall off but I think that’s just from starvation. Over all seems to be working. Energy this morning 9.5/10 Bloatedness 8/10.

george F says...
Well today is day 3. Last night I slept great but the sugar cravings were VERY strong before bed. I’ve had mild headaches since starting but that’s probably from the limited food intake. For breakfast today 1 apple & coffee. I feel full but hungry at the same time (weird). My jeans are soooo loose now so that’s my motivation. I feel very calm as someone mentioned prior and did notice that I’m not as bloated as I use to be in the past. So it does seem to be working and doing something. I also went twice! (I'm happy cause I was getting worried). Energy today 7/10 Bloatedness 3.5/10

Anna says...
Okay George...I'm on day 10 today and yes, I have had cravings as well...I really want ju jubes, and though I have them in a jar on my counter right where I can see them, I have resisted! It's going really well, a few mild headaches and I'm quite tired in the evening as well. However I have not limited my food intake at all. In fact I have been eating a ton...oatmeal with mixed berries and nuts in the morning and green tea..fish and lots of veggies at lunch, snack, usually apple, carrots and a glass of soy milk and then I usually cook two kinds of fish and eat half of each for dinner with sometimes four potates loaded with butter and more veggies...OH yes and air popped popcorn loaded with butter...And yes, I am losing wieght, however I am also working out too! I'm definately not limiting food or counting calories...George, don't starve yourself on this! It is not the point...you will likely loose weight, however you are slowing your metabolism down and once you start eating more, you are likely to put back on the weight in a hurry!!! Think of it as ridding your body of all those toxins and impurities and changing the way you eat...not limiting yourself. You'll likely feel much better overall and not tax your body so much! If losing weight is your goal, eat well, and make small manageable changes, and add in exercise and increase gradually. It didn't take you 12 days to put on wight did it? Usually our weight comes on over weeks, months, years...Be kind to yourself...Good luck! I'm rooting for you! Anna

George F says...
Well today is the 9th day. The weekend was hard and I did have some candies, boy they were good. Three days left and I must say it wasn’t easy. I have a MAJOR sweet tooth and the cravings did not stop. Over all I am happy with this product. My jeans that were once tight are loose again: ) I don't have that "bloated" feeling anymore and my energy level, well that’s the same it did not change. Weight wise I think I droped 2 pouunds. I may try to keep eating healthy since I feel better and thiner. Thanks for your support Anna but next year I don’t think I will be joining you if you do this D-Tox again. Over all it was fun, tough at times but I too would have to recommend this product. This will be my last journal of this journey and remember...Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Chardonnay in one hand, chocolate in the other, body thoroughly used up, and totally worn out and screaming "Woohoo what a ride"

Jackson says...
Okay, it's Easter weekend, and I am starting my annual cleanse for the 9th year in a row. I know what to expect, and the changes are always positive for me. The first few days are the 'hump' days and vary from year to year. By day 4, I am feeling the benefits, of which there are many. My Wild Rose cookbook is well used and slightly modified with stickynotes on some of the more favoured recipes. You can make them up ahead of time and freeze them by portion, which certainly helps facilitate the whole process. Not everyone is going to reap the same benefits from the cleanse and diet, but for me it works great!! Sound sleeping patterns with vivid dreams, waking up fresh and energetic, enhanced concentration, memory, and awareness, increaased physical and mental energy levels, increased sensory stimulation, and a feeling of wellbeing, are some of the benefits. Wieght loss is also a major consideration for some on the program, and it is up to the individual how much they loose according to their food intake and exercise levels. Good luck everyone!! PS. Get the book.

Every year I do a cleanse in the spring to get ready for the bikini season...! I've tried different brands of cleanse kits and this year I trid the wildrose detox kit and loved it! I started eating the wildrose diet for a few weeks before starting the cleanse to prep my body. The cleanse really worked for me and I lost 14 pounds. (Mind you I was also practicing yoga and working out) The only thing is that I was VERY moody and cranky during the cleanse. It was worth it and I will do the wild rose cleanse every year from now on!

Hi. I'm on my last day of the d-tox and everything went well. I feel good and my skin is looking fresh and velvety! I never weighed myself before starting it but I can see that I have lost some weight in a very moderate healthy way. I have been pretty tired throughout but nothing too bad. I do have a question though. My mom started the cleanse yesterday and today she couldn't go to work because she is feeling very sick. Nausea, bad headache and A LOT of vomiting. She says that even if she drinks water she immediately has to vomit. Is this normal? What should she do? I know she wants to do this but if there's something she could cut back on, ie. some of the herbs dosage? She has no diahrrea but just can't stop the vomiting.

I am on day 7 and I feel lighter, I lost 3 pounds. Last night was the first night that I was extremley irritable because I really was super hungry. I like the reciepes they are easy and taste good, however i can not stand the extract it makes me neauses and I actually threw up from the pills. But I am taking them faithfully! I will say this for anyone who is going to start this d tox make sure that you are mentally ready as well as physically because if you are a person who enjoys bad food, you will go nuts but it is worth it in the end! :-)

I love the wild rose cleanse. This is my third time and I've experienced very little fatigue. Minor headaches - on day 3.5 only and they are already gone. Funny thing though and why I am on here. Today I am experiencing fairly uncomfortable kidney/lower back pain. I thought this is usually from toxicity of kidney NOT cleansing. Has anyone experienced anything similar? I love eating this way (for the most part). Just have troubles not drinking and am a bit freaked out by the "supplements".

J+J says...
This is my 2nd time doing the Wild Rose cleanse. This time around my mom is doing it with me, and I'm finding it a lot easier than going it alone. Last year when I did the cleanse I followed the diet for a week before starting to take the supplements, but I found 19 days was a bit long for me ( I ate 3 muffins the day the cleanse was over!) so this time I only did the diet for 3 days before starting the herbs. I've been taking the supplements for 3 days and have lost 5 pounds already, and so has my mom. I think it's really important to not deprive yourself on this cleanse, and not to cheat! When I want something sweet, I make iced herbal tea (berry flavoured) and sweeten it with Stevia, or I make brown rice pudding by mixing cooked brown rice with unsweetened soy and once again sweetening it with Stevia, cinnamon and vanilla. Stevia really is a life saver if you are a sugar addict like me! It is 100% natural too. I've also been making really garlicky guacamole and hummus and putting it over ummm EVERYTHING! Also my mom created an awesome salad dressing.. it sounds gross but it's actually delicious. Almond butter mixed with some soy milk to liquify it added to the regular olive oil and lemon jazz.. also some Mrs. Dash or something like that to season it. It tastes like Thai peanut sauce I swear.. Happy cleansing : )

audrie says...
I'm on day 3 of the cleanse, and I woke up this morning so nauseated that I wonder if I will be able to eat anything or even swallow the supplements. I have followed the diet so far, that part isn't hard at all. I am determined to stick it out, though. This website has been great, just reading about people's different experiences has been very helpful.

Donna Hildebrandt says...
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because it was over too soon! It's been great - I feel great. I didn't need to loose any weight (okay, maybe a couple of pounds - AND I DID - about 6 in total) but my energy level more than doubled. That constant bloating, sluggish, put me to bed right after work feeling, whenever I ate was gone by day 3. The food is very flavourful (lots of new spices!) but does take a little more prep time - it's well worth it. Not to mention the money I have saved by not eating out! I eat every three hours so I don't completely gorge myself come dinner time. My husband and a close friend of ours did it together, they had a few "yucky" days in the beginning, but we all agree it was a good choice. My friend has lost nearly 3 inches from her waist (she refuses to weigh herself!) and my husband has lots about 7 pounds. I plan on keeping up with the meals and doing the cleanse again in the late spring!

Irritable me says...
I am on day 3 of the cleanse, and I feel so irritable and I want to eat my regular food sooo bad!! I was thinking all day long it is not worth it and I can't do this, but reading everybody's posts and hearing how great you feel afterwards I am going to stick it out. One of the positives so far, is that I am gtting into the kitchen and developing better eating habits.

Amy says...
I've done this cleanse once, about 8 months ago, and am starting another round today. I enjoyed the diet - but then, it's not too far from my normal way of eating anyways. My biggest challenge is cutting out alcohol, becuase I do enjoy my wine! I think people who find the diet is a huge departure from their normal dietary habits probably experience the worst symptoms. I had no headaches, no fatigue, none of that (like I said, the diet is similar to how I eat anyways) - but I did have to very carefully manage the laxative (I won't divulge details here). PS - folks, you really shouldn't rate this product if you're only on day 2 or 3 ... give it a chance and finish the program first!

Sue says...
I have to say this product is great. This is my second time using and always feel really good after using it---thus, eating so healthy. Not to mentin losing a few pounds as well. I had a few of the side effects eg. headaches, cold sore. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to start on your way to eating healthy.

Karen says...
I intend to do the Herbal D-Tox every spring. I have never felt so energetic. My blood sugar levels are more stable (I am not crashing so much) and my hot flashes decreased for several months. And I don't bloat after meals. What an amazing detox. It wasn't too difficult with the diet; I only cheated once with bread and peanut butter. I had to reduce the Laxaherb tablets for a couple of days due to diarrhea. I also had nausea on a few mornings after my first round of tablets and drops, but it passed after about two hours. Other than that, my cleanse went very well. I have recommended this cleanse to others.

Patrick says...
The product and results were good. Unfortunately, the Cleansaherb is packaged in a PVC plastic bottle. PVC is one of the nastier, more volatile and off-gassing plastics around. It makes no sense to use it for any kind of edible storage and it makes even less sense to use it to store a product designed to removed such chemicals from your system. I alerted Wild Rose to this over two weeks ago and have yet to receive a response. I was recently in a vitamin store and also noticed some of their other products come in PVC plastic containers.

Janis says...
I am on Day 12 of the cleanse and feel GREAT! I bought the kit and cookbook a few weeks prior to starting the program. One week before I started taking the herbs I went on the diet, which I highly recommend doing. During that week I familiarized myself with what foods I could and could not eat and stocked up on groceries that were key to eating properly on this program. My husband got right into cooking recipes from the cookbook so we have been eating gourmet meals every night! During that first week of just eating the diet I lost 2 lbs. I was reluctant to actually start the program with the herbs but finally did and then wondered why I had waited because I virtually had no side effects. I did experience a headache on day 4 but nothing serious. I also thought I would be in the bathroom constantly and to my surprise wasn't any more than normal. I have had lots of energy and was able to run 3 times/week as per usual. At the end of Day 11 I had lost 7 lbs total. The main reason for doing this cleanse was to try to eliminate eczema on my hands...it worked! By day 3 the eczema I had on my hands was clearing up and I could actually wear rings again because my fingers were not swollen. Everyone is complimenting me on how great my skin and hair look. I am evangelical about this cleanse and will be doing it again in the Spring for sure.

Michele says...
I love this product!! This will be the 3rd time I've done it - I think I should be selling it. Every time I do it I feel horrible the first few days but it's obvious to me that the toxins are being brought out of the tissues so of course you aren't going to feel well. I look at it like this 'would you rather have a sharp pain for a few days or a dull ache for the rest of your life?' I find the diet easy - the only thing I miss is mayonaisse and salad dressings. I find it interesting that all those who give the cleanse a low rating are on day 2 or 3 so what do you expect? Be patient and don't expect miracles the first few days - it's a detox cleanse which means your body is getting rid of toxins so of course you aren't going to feel terrific. By day 4 or 5 you should be feeling fabulous and those results will last you for months. Enjoy!!

Where do I start? i've read almost all of the reviews and have recieved many great idea's. I have always tried to eat healthy my intire life however i do get into this rut every 6months and all i crave is sugar. I do compromise with organic, natural and homemade sweeties. The reason i decided to do this d-tox(my 1st time!) is b/c i just recently quit smoking(cold turkey) and moved to a new town. I am begining a new journey with my fiance and figured i need to change inside and out. Just like quiting smoking you have to be mentally prepared, to me b/c i spent 1-2yrs mentally preparing myself to quit smoking i find this detox easy. Don't do this d-tox if you only think you'll fallow through with it, do it when you know you'll fallow through. I'm on day 4. I'm also like only 2% of the people that have done this d-tox. I have to take extra laxitives (herbal tea lax only). The first 3 day were alright i only felt sick for 1-2hrs after taking the pills&drops. But today holy cow i feel as though my head is in a vice and the world is spinning. The diet is great!!! i'm finding it easy to stick to and yes the cravings are strong but i am confedient they will subside. Like any d-tox you have to feel like S*%$ first before you fabulous. Here's to a new begining and willpower!!!

This is a tremendous programme. Very easy and effective. All the diet shifts are for the better. No trouble from day one. Many days were spent reading the material so becoming familiar with the operating concepts and their execution. Also, started to shift eating procedures to the protocol several days prior to beginning. This is a good approach. Advise. Just follow the instructions and enjoy your improvements. Everything needs cleaning in life and you are no exception at all. Thanks Terry.

day 8 - i have found the program easy to follow - there are so many combinations you can come up with from the foods allowed. the secret is to prepare - i read and thought about meal plans for a week prior to starting. i made two batches of food at a time so i had a bit of variety and would use it for two days and then start again with two new selections. breakfast was always oatmeal with cinnamon, fresh fruit, and almonds. it really holds you for quite some time. on weekends i enjoyed an omlette with veggies and topped it with crisp green onions and tomatoes. GARLIC a familiar friend helps add to otherwise bland foods amongst all the fresh herbs/spices. another idea is sliced cucumber in your water. i make a jug of it and sip it throughout the day. a nice change from plain old water or even plain old lemon water. good luck and don't forget your spritz or "nilodor" for public washrooms. spare the innocent.

It's the final day 12 of my first ever D-tox program. It has been easy to follow the diet and I didn't have any cravings for desert or a glass of wine until day 7 or 8. I didn't stray from the diet - but perhaps some days did not drink enough water. The program made me tired and drowsy much earlier than usual - and but I woke up feeling energized. The other effect I noticed - which I have read no comment about - is a decrease in sex drive. I actually had a difficult time "getting it up" on the program. This issue only began half way through as well. If my libido doesn't return in afew days, perhaps I'm mistaken and will have to chalk it up to getting OLD (at 36, I hope not).

Maureen says...
I have just finished the 12 day Herbal D-Tox and I feel wonderful. The biggest improvement I have noticed is a calm sense of inner strength and peace. The quality of my sleep has also greatly improved. It now very deep and restorative. This program has revolutionized my thinking towards the foods that I eat and I am continuing to follow the diet because I feel so renewed. It is hard to believe that only two short weeks ago I was a self confessed carbohydrate/sugar addict. The cookbook is a must have and I highly recommend it, so much so that I have ordered copies for my three daughters.

i'm on day 10 of the detox and have been very, very good in terms of following all the requirements. i'm generally a healthy-eater anyways, but i have to say i'm very dissappointed with the results. i don't feel like i have any more energy and i don't feel any 'better'. I feel exactly the same as i did the day before i started this detox. i think you can get the same results just by eating healthy and exercising - you don't need to spend 30 bucks on pills and drops. that's just me.

PS. i would not do this detox again.

Sorry - 'one' wild rose. I would not do this detox again.

I haven't really noticed any change in myself on the wild rose detox program. The first day I had a headache and that is about it. Maybe this means I am healthy (I am almost vegan and eat very little junk food) or it may mean the program just doesn't work for my body? I don't know. I don't think I will do it again because I didn't see anything positive come of it (my bowel movements are the same, I feel the same etc.) Maybe this works for someone who eats a lot of flour products (breads), dairy and meat? Not sure.

I just started this cleanse today. I will be recording a 12 day log on what changes I go through with this cleanse. Have never done one before and have heard lots of good things about this one. Today I started my day with a coffee, an apple and some almonds. Tons of water, had a veggie soup for lunch. Pills made me feel completely bloated and had a headache, but went away. Felt much better after a trip to the washroom. At least the laxatives are kicking. Lets see what tomorrow will bring after all the veggies I've eaten today.

Sweetani says...
Ok today was my second day and it was better then day 1. Woke up with little-no energy. Could have slept the whole day. Face pale, and eyes burning from lack of energy. Pills are making my stomach turn just by the smell, got them all down. Hade lots of water in the day. Drops go awesome in some tea, hope thats ok though not sure. Have been to the washroom lots and feel it cleaning me out. Dinner had a chicken fillet, bbq'd with Eggplants and zuchini, and baked potatoe. I feel really good, though a nice apple pie would hit the spot right now. Gonna stay good though. Thought I would be hitting up the washroom more though..lol we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Sweetani says...
Today is my 3rd day in. I woke up with tons of energy, but around lunch time I was falling asleep at my desk. Drank lots of water. My skin is feeling pretty oily, considering I usually have dry skin. I am craving a pasta and bread and chocolate. Energy is low. Went to the washroom a few times. Major headaches, and lack of sleep. Although getting the usual sleep, it's just not enough. Had a slice of roast and salad.

I am on my 4th day...and have avoided the gym whatsoever...I know it is working however I feel like I am having the flu-headachy, sore joints, itchy skin (face) and somewhat lethargic. I said its working because of the cleaning out process--I have been going to the bathroom often, and it's okay by me, I like the cleaning out process. Infact it makes me feel better knowing that my body is eliminating years of garbage. I just hope that the achey feeling will dissipate soon. I am not a fan of fast food--however, I am eating more salmon lately-and I love it with brown rice and either steamed cauliflower or broccoli I eat them plain with nothing. Someone mentioned sushi--I love salmon and tuna sashimi with a speck of wasabi on it, no soysauce--I am glad that I am finally learning HOW to eat. My question to everybody is--is okay to drink non-lactose Protien Shake during the process? As long as there's no sugar present....since most of the whey protein shakes I read up has about 4-6g of sugar present. Will the alternative veggie protein shake be okay?

I started using the d-tox last fall. The first time I used it, I lost 17lbs and have only been capable of gaining back about 8 of it between d-tox cycles. I use the d-tox twice a year and enjoy the healthy break. Although the supplements worked for me, the LAXAHERB supplement really hurt my stomach, so I cut that dose in half the last time I did the d-tox, and all was well. I recommend this product to anyone that wants to jump start a healthy lifestyle!

Sweetani says...
Love it!! and love it. Honestly, wow what a journey!. I went from one wild rose to 5. I feel great, I am starting to look great and I know this product totally worked for me. I have just one main thing to stress here. "tough it out-results will pay off" I know it's hard the first 3-5 days, but you will feel so good in closer to the mid-end of this cleanse. I missed a few days in writing, but I am on my 8th day now. Lost about 6 lbs and been eating great. I dont feel my stomach so hard to break down all the complex carbs I used to eat. I can actually move after dinner and be comfortable without a cramp. My body feels really energized. The one thing that kills me still is the Billiherb pill.. which smells, tastes the worst of the 3 pills. Whatever!! toughing it out. I recommend this product and am excited to see what other positive effects I get from this product. I will for sure do this cleanse again this yr.

I have been on this detox for 5 days now. I haven't been going to the washroom often like others have said. I haven't weighed myself as of yet. I do think my clothes are feeling looser. I feel great and don't find it hard at all to follow the diet. I don't know if it's working, but I will continue and see what happens.:) oh ya, the only thing I notice is that I have been sweating a lot more than normal, I think someone had mentioned that.

Ryan says...
The first few days were pretty horrible... I am not one for the cold turkey approach. My only real concern was the stomach aches and abdominal cramps. I read on this site about the laxaherb and it said not to take for more than seven days, which i find a little unnerving because it is a 12 day cleanse..... Any explanations??

Chris says...
Just finished detox yesterday and I feel fnatastic. I was thrilled to los 12 pounds (184 to 172). Much more to go but it was a good way to kick-start a weight loss program. The only difficulty I had was to find something 'allowed' when I ate out, which was unavoidable. I ended up quite hungry a few times for lack of anything on the program being availble. I would definately do it again.

Andie says...
My partner and I just finished this program together (Jan 2008) and we both feel fantastic! He is a guy who usually lives for pizza and burgers, so it was surprising that he joined me in the 12 day detox. The first few days were filled with spaciness, some irritability and slight headache and fatigue, probably in part due to coffee withdrawal. However, we both noticed we started feeling very good after 3 days and did not NEED coffee in the morning. We were prepared with meal planning (the cookbook has great recipes), so that we wouldn't get hungry or feel stuck without available food. I lost 12 pounds over the 12 days and he lost 9 pounds. The best part was that we both feel our energy is more stable through out the day and I don't have hypoglycemia, eating in this way. It's been a great start to kick off my weight loss plan and we plan to continue to eat in this way for at least 8 more weeks, because it feels good!

This is my third time doing this cleanse and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. I have done other cleanses and have to say that this is the best one that I tried, it is easy to follow, affordable, and you get the best results. I have to say that personally, I do not find it very difficult. There are cravings on the first two days but the rest of the cleanse is quite easy. I find that the best thing is to just be prepared, make sure that your kitchen is filled with the right foods and that you have meals made ahead of time. The first time is always the hardest but it really is worth it!!!

maew says...
I have done this cleanse a few times, I think that the first time I did it had the most noticeable effects, ie: spending lots of time in the bathroom, feeling WAY lighter afterwards, more energy.... so I changed my eating habits and as a result now when I do the cleanse I don't feel much different nor do I have to spend so much time in the bathroom, but I think that is because I feel better and am cleaner generally now that I am eating better. The thing I missed the most last time? Cheese.... I love cheese!

carla says...
I just finished my last 6 pills and the last dose of the herbal extract!!! 12 days completed. My husband and I did this cleanse together and we found it to be very good. We feel great and have learned a lot about food proportions and how much (and what kind of) food one really needs (rather than wants!!). Together we lost about 12 pounds, even though that is not the purpose of a detox, weight loss is likely provided you follow the meal plans and adhere to the program. I purchased the cook book because I felt that if we are going to do this detox, then we are going to do it right!! In my opinion, without the cookbook to plan your meals ahead of time...the detox program will be much more difficult and tempting to not complete. GOOD LUCK to those who are doing this especially for the first time. Carla

Lorrie says...
Give it till the 5th day and you will be well rewarded. I lost 10 lbs while on it, and after the product was finished, I continued eating only what was on the list for months after, and now 7 months later I have lost and kept off 40 lbs. I plan on doing this dtox every July!

Lesley says...
I want to give this product both one star and 5 stars because I felt that it had its benefits and its downfalls. No of course, the downfalls is def. individual specific. I found the whole diet to be a LOT of fun! Getting to play in the kitchen is just one of my most favorite things to do, and then challenging myself to make delicious recipes while following the diet was interesting as I had learned a lot. Overall, I came out of the diet feeling on top of the world! I felt great, I had grown a whole new appreciation for a healthier diet and found the overall experience to be very positive. However, sadly, I went from the detox diet to 4 nights of some heavy drinking and restaruant eating (I had to attend a conference/reunion of friends old and new---well, you see what i'm getting at here). I feel the worst now than I ever had. Undoubtly my body is extremely acidic, and i'm sure candida has just taken over my body in an effect that's twice as powerful as it has ever been. I'm struggling now to get back to my centre. I was even wondering doing the cleanse again and coming off it properly...i'm also looking into the Candid-aid but i'm weary since once you cut candida causing foods out of your diet, they have to stay out, or it'll be another storm to battle later down the road when i'm finished. So what i'm suggesting to everyone here who is considering this diet, or is halfway through or whatever, is to continue your eating habits way after you finish the pills. Then very very very slowly bring certain things back in. To me I feel a complete lifestyle change is in order after someone finishes this diet, but the great thing about it is the diet makes you WANT and NEED to continuously eat healthy in order to feel as light, and energetic as you did during the cleanse. Good luck to all of you, have fun, and please don't do what I did once you finish!!

Salma says...
I'm at the end of the 6th day so I'm almost more than halfway done the cleans. I've been eating really well, however I do miss cheese and yogurt a lot. Been following the diet religiously I haven't even really eaten anything that's part of the 20% or less except for fish and white rice once. Despite that I haven't been really experiencing any of the benefits. I was nauseous and my stomach hurt a lot but for a few days I didn't have any bowel movements. I've never had that problem ever....I'm thinking it has something to do with the introduction of Laxatives into my system. Also I haven't lost any weight at all. But I think I will continue this diet for a week or so after I'm done just because I think it's a healthy way to eat in general but perhaps start eating yogurt again with some muesli/granola. One of of advice I would definitely recommend starting the diet over the weekend then start taking the pills on a Monday with one laxative pill before supper and then ease into to depending on how you react. P.S. I'm still craving sugar!

I am on the fourth day of my detox and am really enjoying it. I find that the menu isn't very limiting at all which is good! You can experiment with healthy recipes that follow the rules on the menu, and almost all of them are delicious!!! I feel VERY tired and weak when I excersise though. Even if all I am doing is a quick brisk walk around the block, I find myself out of breath. Hopefully by the end of the detox I will get my energy back!! I have heard so many awesome reviews about this program and am looking forward to the results!

T23 says...
This is day 2 on the program, I am feeling a bit nauseous and have been going to the bathroom lots. I have little energy and cannot exercise yet. I have a few cravings but not that bad. I think by day 4 I should be feeling a bit better. I also lowered the laxative dosage to 2 a day, 4 was too much. Hopefully I feel better by the end of it all!

Sasha says...
I am glad to say that I am very pleased with the results of the herbal d-tox. Before starting the d-tox my engery levels were running very low and I looked quite ill. My acne was also getting very bad. So my mother had suggested that I go on the d-tox. So as a result my engery levels were at its highest, I lost weight and my acne cleared up!! My skin had never looked this great since I started to get pimples. Its clear and has retreived its healthy glow. It has now been about 2 months and my skin is still looking great. I would highly recommend the herbal d-tox to anyone who struggles with the battle of acne, you won't be disappointed.

This is my third time doing the detox. The first few times went well, and I feel that this time has been much MORE of a struggle for me. The first 6 or so days have left me with close to NO energy, which is a good sign, I guess. I also have been experiencing some shakiness in my arms and legs, though I do continue going to the gym to exercise. Today is day 10, and I am so sick of taking the pills ! I definately feel that this time has been much different than the last 2 times, but for sure for the better. I also bought some almond butter and rice cakes, which have been my saving grace ! I do agree with everyone else in terms of mental preparation though, as it is always mind over matter!

Brian says...
is it ok to have a whey protein shake?

Jo says...
This was the most hardest thing i had to ever do in my life, mind you i did lose 4lbs, the hardest thing was not having dairy, I'm not a diary person, but i do like cream/milk in my coffee. I didnt like all the pills i had to take and that horrible solution, it was too hard on my stomach, I hardly every went to the "bathroom" which kind of did concern me, it was like my body stoped functioning, dont know if i will try again

SYD says...
I'm on day 7 I've lost 15 pounds and I have more energy than ever, my craving for junk foods is horrible but I feel better not eating them, don't know if its the D-tox or just that I cut out the sugars carbs and dairy, but I wouldn't have done that without the program so thumbs up from me

DO NOT USE!!!! says...
DO NOT BUY> YOU LOSE IMMUNITY TO FEND OFF COLDS/FLU ETC. I was on day 7 and came down with hand foot and mouth which adults usually do not catch. Dr. said that this was the reason I caught it.

sylvia says...
This detox is hard to rate because I am only on my 2nd day but what I have found the most challenging is grocery shopping. It's hard not to want the yummy baked goods and sugary sweets. I find that I am a little nauseated but that's only after I take the pills. I don't know about anyone else but I absolutley hate the smell of those pills. I gag before I take them which makes it that much harder. I hope I can make it to the 12th day...me and my sister are hoping to feel much better after this. Wish me luck!

shelley says...
on day 3, not noticing any big changes, diet isn't hard at all to follow, I myself am not a "great" cook, but finding the "fruit and vegetables" are good during the day while working, been having chicken and brown rice for supper, noting that I am always hungry, bowels are finally really moving for me as of late yesterday haven't lost even one pound yet!!!

Tom says...
I'm only on day 3 of the cleanse so it's too early for a rating. Cutting out sugars, wheat and fermented products is a good idea and I look forward to the end results. So far I feel awful which I know is normal but I am concerned with the fact that I have had diarrhea for three days now and was in bed all day yesterday and slept 13 hours! I intend to cut down on the laxative, but although people mentioned constant bathroom visits no one seems to have mentioned diarrhea. I know diarrhea can cause severe dehydration and can be dangerous so I am a little concerned. I just want to be sure they are normal symptoms and that I am not sick with something else. Any feedback would be appreciated. I still intend on seeing this through and if I can't I intend on trying it some other time.

shelley says...
yes you should be cautious as you've had diarrhea now since you started...I would recommend you stop taking so much of the laxatives as for me this d-tox is a TOTAL thumbs down, glad I'm done taking it

Jill says...
I'm on day three of the wild rose herbal d-tox. Hopefully great results will show by the end, but right now I am feeling sick to my stomach. I have been having flu like symptoms, nausea, and I have been feeling really exhausted. The diet isn't too restricted though...I have always been a healthy eater. I also find the pills hard to take! The smell of them makes my stomach churn!! But I am definitley looking forward to the results. I would suggest not taking this detox in the summer though! It's hard when all my family and friends are enjoying their ice cream in the hot sun, bbq's, and sitting around campfires roasting marshmallows and making smores. that is the worst! I think if I took this detox again it would not be in the summer mark my words! :D

Carrie says...
I can't stop shitting! I'm on day ten and I feel retarded awesome but I'm wondering when I'm gonna stop peeing out of my ass. Over all it was pretty tough until I discovered the fried rice recipe in the cookbook. I feel so much better mentally, emotionally and energy wise. I also went from 154 lbs to 145 lbs, and although I know over half of that was excess water weight, I still look really good. My ass is noticably smaller. My only concern is hoping my body doesn't keep relying on laxitives. I'd love a solid shit soon. I say thumbs up to the good people at Wild Rose.

Detoxer says...
This is my first time to use the Wild Rose product. I am quite disappointed. I am on my 6th day of detox, but I haven't experienced any difference. No increased bowel movement, but no headache either. I do feel a little more tired, but not sure if it's becasue of the detox or my busy work-study schedule. I followed the diet plan except using soy sauce lightly with sushi sometimes. I read a few reviews and they all seem positive. I am not sure where went wrong. I used another brand of detox product before (half year ago), I went to bathroom right after every meal for the first 3-4 days. This time I don't feel much difference is it becasue I don't have much tox in my body or the opposite? Anyone can help?

Jessica Cunningham says...
Hi! Day 1 of my first time trying the Wild Rose Detox. Feeling tired. Not hungry yet, just tired. I am worried about working out while on this. I work out mon - fri, not sure if I will have enought energy!

Jessica says...
Day 5 of my D-Tox. Day 1-3 where definately the worst and hardest. Feeling great now! I have lost 5 pounds in 5 days. The meal plan is pretty easy to stick to. The potatoe allowance is my saviour!

Bry H says...
Well my 1st D-tox day 2 and i must say it hasn't been that bad. Not headaches or weakness. Breakfast as been organic Oatmeal with apples and Rice milk. Lunch Homemade Chilli and soups. Dinner Fish Veg and Brown rice or Potatos. I add soysauce on the rice, couldn't resist. Been very thirsty, the hardest part is the get home from work snack attack, been eating rice cakes yum yum lol. Drinking tons of water, and i must say i've been to the washroom 4 times this afternoon for #. Workinig out everyday. 2 Lbs down so far. Nervous of the weekend i will try not to give in to temptations!!!

The herbal detox cleans is the best thing thats ever happened to me health wise. I smoked for years both pot and cigs and had been quit for 2 months before taking the cleanse. I felt like i was going to die the first 2 days with the fatigue and headachs. My whole life i had always gave up when things seemed too hard but not this time and boy oh boy do i feel fantastic. I honesly cant ever remember feeling this good on the inside. My skin is brighter and smoother and just more healthy. The clairity on my mind alone is amazing. I lost 14 lbs on the 12 day program. If your feeliing really sick its a good thing becasue you know that the toxins are being released from your body. It is only temp. so stick it out as long as you can you will be so proud of yourself and how you feel afterwords. The potatoes were a saviour for me as well as popcorn with butter as my comfort foods. The diet was difficult at first but after the first couple days it does become easier. Buy the Herbal Detox Cookbook, it helps alot. The cod chowder is one of my faves. Filled with veggies and tastes yummy. If you dont like fish dont be turned off you can sub chicken insted of the cod but try to use the leaner cuts such as the breast meat. Its true...if its not on the list....DONT EAT IT. its not worth it and its only 12 days of your life. Think of it as this....your body could go without ANY food for months and you would not die. 12 days is nothing and you can still eat. The benefits are remarkable.

lifechanger says...
I am on day 7 on the d-tox, and feeling pretty good at this point. The first 5 days were tough, most likely because I decided to do this program around the Christmas season and I was constantly surrounded by chocolates, cookies and candies at work... I was craving hot chocolate and hot apple cider most of all, strangely... combated that by having some apple and cinnamon cooked into my oatmeal in the morning. I actually had dreams about pigging out on croissants and pizza, but always felt relief when I realized I hadn't. The meal plan hasn't been too difficult to follow and I've really come to enjoy the experience of having a quiet cup of tea several times a day. I've gone from 143lbs to 135lbs, and feel quite excellent. I usually do feel a little tired, but once I start exercising, my energy goes way up. I can still run as usual (up to 45 minutes) and do strength exercises no problem. Its a great way to save money because although I usually do all my cooking at home, I often bought a couple coffees or snacks during the day or went out to dinner with friends, so I've cut that out for a while. Its fun to try new recipes and I find soups are great for winter time, plus I can make a larger batch and have enough for a few lunches as well. All in all I'm feeling good and really re-thinking my diet in the long term. This is the first time I've ever felt that becoming vegan might be possible! I never thought I could give up cheese - but I was wrong.

I am currently on day 8 of this cleanse. I find I am not tired but I am feeling like a cold is coming on. I have actually been able to stick to this program and that is really something coming from a junk food eater (all the time) I am actually finding my skin to look different and smoother than before. I would highly recommend this to everyone at least once a year if not twice

I am on my first day of this cleanse. I wanted to do my Renew Life CleanseSmart but there were no more left in the store. After talking to the clerk she suggested this one because she has done it herself. I am actually excited after reading all the reviews. This was the last box that was left so I am assuming that this is a good product as well. I will def keep you guys updated after my 12 days! I also start back at the gym today and well... WISH ME LUCK!!

bakery girl says...
I am on day 7 of the 12 day program and it is fantastic! Since I own a bakery, I am around flour & sugar all day long, so not having any of my bakery products is a challenge, but not hard at all because you know it's only this limited for 12 days. If I can do it, and I eat sweets ALL DAY LONG, then anyone can do this. And it's impossible to not see immediate results as years of toxins are eliminated. Skin appears healthier on the face and smoother/tighter on the body! I am down 7 pounds in 7 days. Hoping to acheive a 10 pound weight loss in total. Was thinking of following up with the Wild Rose Slim-Tech, or I'll just continue to follow the D-Tox diet on weekdays and splurge a little on weekends and special occassions. I will write again on day 13, once the Kit is Complete... good luck, it's the best!

Michel says...
Hello I'm back! I am on day 6 of the program and so far so good! I mean I am so happy with this cleanse I try not to weigh myself too often but I feel so great it's so hard not to. I suggest that you weigh yourself in the early morning when you wake up. I am down between 6-7 pounds already! And the reason it is 6-7 is because I weighed myself twice in one day so try and be patient and weigh yourself every couple days or at the beginning and at the end. I follow the diet religiously and it's not a DIET it's just a list of foods to eat and if you are committed then it's not that hard because once you start seeing the results then you will do it. I will check back after I've completed the cleanse to BRAG to you'all!!

maew says...
Day 4..... Haven't done this cleanse for awhile, probably about a year and a half or more. Since I mostly eat like the cleanse, except for a few things, I started a week before cutting things out of my diet so it would be easier to do the cleanse. That has made a big difference in being more satisfied. I also find that this time doing the cleanse I am hardly hungry at all, but when I am hungry... WHAM! It hits me like a ton of bricks. My stomach hurts alot, cutting back on the laxatives helps. Feel achey, am coughing alot and my nose runs (not a cold just getting rid of mucus, blech), am looking forward to feeling better over the next few days. I have had a nagging cough for a long time now so this should help; as well have noticed that persistent acne on my face is finally clearing up.

Lu says...
So far I am not happy... I am only on day 2 and was throwing up half the night.. violently. I feel terrible and am scared to take the supplements this morning. I wonder if I am having a bad reaction to them? Can I be allergic to the pills? I know I'd have no problem on the diet, but these supplements are serious business!

Be cautious when taking prescription pain killers with this cleanse! I had seriously hurt my back the week before starting the cleanse.I was on muscle relaxants and Tylenol 3's, though quite taking them 2 days before starting the cleanse. day 2 of the cleanse I was doing great, but hurt my back again on day 3. The Information package say's "Continue to use any prescription medications you are currently taking." I took 1 T3, and had a severe reaction. accelerated heart beat(above 125BPM, normal resting HR 60-80BPM) this lasted for over 10 hours!! also severe cold sweats, cramps, aches, migraine headache, sore throat, phlemy cough... After the T#'s wore off, I was back to normal aches pains headaches supposedly associated with the clease. Dont believe everything you read! I think what happened is that the clease kicked into overdrive to purge the "toxins/T3's" Anyone else have this happen?

I have now been on this product for two days and still have not had any diffrent bowl movements, and not feeling sick, headache, tired? Am I doing something wrong? I take the 6 pills at breakfast and dinner and 30 drops with one glass of water as well. I am following the meal plans exactly as it says. The food chart is not that helpful. I drink ALOT of water. Can anyone help?

Jennifer says...
If I could give a rating of zero wild roses I would. I didn't notice any difference at all on this cleanse. I did the full 12 days and my bowel movements did not change. Probably 5 out of the 12 days I didn't have a bowel movement at all. I followed the diet exactly, which was not a problem, but I didn't lose any weight at all. Actually, I lost 4 pounds in the first 4 days and by day 8 I had gained all 4 pounds back. I don't feel any different now that I have done the cleanse and I recommend that you don't waste your money on this junk and just eat properly and exercise.

I am on Day 2 of this Detox, and having done similar detoxes before, I know I will feel better in a day or two, but at this moment I have a very bad headache and have been feeling sick all day. All I can think of is that it must really be working!! There should really be a suggestion in the box to begin this regime on a weekend. I am finding it impossible to work, and I lead a fairly healthy lifestyle.

I am about to start this D toc. I was given it by a friend who bought it and thought it was great so bought a second one for me. In her move she lost the english version of the directions. I can understand French so have pretty well decifered the directions. I have emailed this company twice to see if they would email me the english version with no help from them at all. I am hoping it is not an indication of the product. I would have loved to be 100% SURE I was taking it right but will have to hope for the best. This to me is not great customer service from a ploace that provides only 100% the best. Therefore at this moment I will have to give it 1 star only. I'll get back to you in 12 days.

pam richmond says...
WARNING I want to let people know the possible dangers of this product. I admit from the outset that I am not a great believer in cleanses. At this point I am having trouble losing weight so I thought if I did a cleanse it would be an added incentive to eating healthy. That worked well. It was easier for me to say no to sweets and bad food choices while on the cleanse than just because I shouldn't eat the stuff. Fast forward to the end of the cleanse. I had no problems, lost a little weight and felt fine. I had to go for day surgery for a minor procedure. I had finished the cleanse the day before. The product info said not to do the cleanse after surgery but I didn't think much of doing it before. When I was at the door to the operating room, the anesthetist asked me a bunch of questions and I mentioned the cleanse. He asked what was in it. I couldn't tell him much. He immediately told me that my electrolytes could be out of balance and he wasn't prepared for that. I got sent back to the pre op area and had to undergo a blood test and an ECG (heart monitor) I knew that I had to drink lots of water on the cleanse so my electrolytes were fine as was my heart. But what he then told me was that due to the cleanse my white blood count was at 3.5 and normal is around 8. Therefore my immune system has been compromised. If my surgery had been even a little more invasive I would have been bumped for surgery. The doctor also told me that our bodies are designed to cleanse themselves and that if we ate properly (the food lists from the Wild Rose Cleanse are healthy without the pills) then our bodies should be fine. It was a big shock to find that my immune system had been that compromised from the cleanse. So I lost a little weight, but at what cost? I plan to try the weight loss route with healthy food, since I found that I could say no. Its not easy losing weight, but I would rather not do it this way. Cleanses really aren't that good for you. The organs in our bodies are designed to be low maintenance. If we eat right and drink lots of water, then they work well. Its when we put all kinds of junk in them that they don't work. Using the cleanse food list and a lot of common sense works to keep us healthy.

I am on day 8 of the cleanse and am so ill I cannot get out of bed, I became ill around day 5. If I even move my eyes or neck the piercing headaches are unbearable, I am shaky and weak and get sick every time I stand up. I feel like my immune system is shutting my body down, my joints are aching if this persists until tomorrow I am going to the Dr.'s office.

Day one of the cleanse... I'll try and keep a running daily written observation throughout for the folks who are curious. So far so good and to be honest not much has changed other than my diet. I haven't been running to the bathroom at all - haven't noticed a difference yet in that department. However, I do feel like my body is loosening up, so to speak (I was a tad constipated beginning). My only observations thus far are: Fatigue (I feel a bit heavier and more lethargic, but not too bad) and minor cravings. Only thing of any possible discomfort thus far are the dietary restrictions... but even then it's actually much easier than I thought! More tomorrow.

I am on my seventh day of the cleanse. It is my first time using one. I have to admit that I cheated a couple times. I was craving chocolate so much. I also LOVE pasta so it takes a lot of concentration to not cheat anymore. I also use lots of soy sauce on the brown rice because personally, I think it tastes terrible. I think that I lost a little weight but not a lot.

And if I should loose 10-15pounds ; I won't complain:). Jewels~:) HERES TO de tox!

I did this cleanse 10 years ago when I had a very bad case of candida. I remember feeling absolutely dreadful for the first week. I continued doing the diet along with a few special supplements for a whole 2 years after that and was never so healthy in my life. After a month or so the cravings for sugar, bread, chocolate and alcohol just go away. All those bad (yummy) things have slowly crept back in so I'm doing the cleanse again to kick start myself into truly healthful living again. The only way to make it stick is to think about all the GOOD things that you are doing for yourself. If you make it about denial the benefits won't be as apparent and it will be so much harder. I had this shipped all the way from Canada because they don't sell it in the UK due to EU regulations, that's how much i know it works!

I just finished this cleanse and i loved it. This was my first cleanse ever and i would highly recommend it. I was just a tad headachy the first few days but i didn't experience any fatigue or body aches so was able to continue my exercise routine. i never had a craving during the cleanse but my eating regimen is pretty clean already. My favourite favourite thing that happened was that my face cleared up. I am so happy with the results that i am continuing the eating plan for as long as i can. I feel great eating this way!!! Oh and i do recommend buying the recipe book it was a great resource! And doing it with a buddy was also helpful for me :D

I am very disappointed that I had allergic reactions to this product. Whey is apparently in the Laxaherb. I would have known this sooner, had I been able to read the label! The printing on the label is the smallest print I've ever seen. Corn silk styles are also listed. I am very allergic to corn and can not tell if this is a herb or from the corn plant. Furthermore, it should list, more clearly, if the product does not contain milk or corn. My allergic reactions were severely confused with detox and cleansing. Finally, the label should list your correct website! It took me 10 minutes to find this one. The label states, www.wildrose.com . You need to have customer service help not just a review!

I am on day 8 and I have to stop because I have developed a serious sinus infection (could be all those toxins releasing, but my doctor recommended I discontinue for now). Despite my illness, I am really pleased with the cleanse. There are still a lot of things that you can eat which is nice. I am a sugar fiend and my cravings are almost completely gone! I also have lost 10 lbs. The laxative effect can be a little intense, so like others have said if you have IBS or a weak stomach it would be a good idea to go easy on the laxaherb. I'm going to try to keep up the diet a little bit longer even though I've had to drop the herbal supplements. I look forward to doing the cleanse again and hopefully not getting so sick next time!

Just finished the 12 day cleanse/detox yesterday. Stayed close to home on day 2, due to frequent trips to the bathroom, headache, and general fatigue. The next 10 days were great. Felt energetic, alert, and happy. Physically, I had no PMS, clear and glowing complexion, and someone even mentioned that the whites of my eyes were really white. And yes, I did weight. I would definitely recommend this kit.

My Wild Rose Experience started 21 May 2010 I came to hear about the cleanse over beer and wings one night with a friend who had been toying with the idea. For the past few months I had began to feel my waist line pressing harder and harder against the new clothes I had bought, my energy levels were crap and my outlook on life was short of dismal…I felt like I was being beat down by the daily grind and really had no other enthusiasm to much of anything else but eat, drink and work. Summer was soon on the horizon and so was my 30th birthday and realized that I was not where I wanted to be at 30 in terms of my physical health. I pondered the idea of this cleanse and researched it, I was sold on it when I read that you could eat as much as you wanted to just as long as it fell within the guidelines provided in the “cleanse package”. So I went ahead and ordered the program, I was a bit hesitant with some of the life changes I was going to have to make. I was used to microwaving food, eating pizza, drinking copious amounts of beer and wine, and spending the majority of my weekends in recovery from the nights before and long hours in the office during the week. To add to all of this I also set the goal that I was going to quit smoking as well, knowing that my triggers when I quit smoking is large meals and drinking, this may be an opportune time to quit my almost pack a day habit. I set my quit day, and spent a week and a half systematically cutting out some of my favourite foods, and my bad habits. My “start” day for all of this was on a Friday of a long weekend. Thursday night I went out and had a giant steak and 6 beers, smoked about 10 cigarettes and had a unhealthy induced sleep. I woke 9 hours later in a bit of a haze, looked around my apartment and took a deep breath. I still had a half pack of cigarettes on the table…..was I really going to put myself through this? I promptly sat down at my coffee table slapped on a nicotine patch and portioned out my supplements and poured the thirty drops of tincture into a glass of water and that marked the beginning of a healthier new me. The ensuing three days I would wake up eat my pills, drink the tincture have a simple breakfast of the items I was allowed on the cleanse and then end up sleeping all over again….not to mention the numerous visits to the washroom whereby my body purged the last 10 years of crap (literally and figuratively) that I had been putting into my body. My naps were all unplanned but it was my bodies sugars regulating themselves, needless to say I felt drained….not irritable but as if I had never slept and my body was now recouping. That Sunday I attempted a walk jog, something I hadn’t done since my early twenties. I ran like I was in my early twenties and within 5 minutes I was doubled over vomiting in a bush on someone’s front lawn. I hobbled back to my apartment feeling defeated, but reminded myself that this is why I was quitting smoking, giving up my bad habits and this was why I needed to do this cleanse. I got to my apartment and looked in the fridge and twas quite a dismal site looking at a package of tofu and some green onions. It was day three at this point and as any of you might know who’ve quit smoking before, the pangs and cravings seem to happen in threes; three days, three weeks, three months. I had to remain busy to fight off these urges so I put on some clothes, rinsed out my mouth and jumped in the car to hit up the grocery store and see what I could find that would take my mind off cigarettes and hopefully add to what I perceived as my restrictive diet. I meandered through the grocery store looking at all the foods that I had once enjoyed, and even toyed with the idea of giving it all up now…I had made this unhealthy bed and now must lie in it for the rest of my li

lie in it for the rest of my life…the stage had been set and this was how I was meant to live my life. Then in the food gadget section I saw a gleaming $320.00 juicer and looked away immediately thinking that I couldn’t afford such a piece of equipment on a whim. Then I had to remember that I was in the midst of making a lifestyle change, I wasn’t happy with my body, my habits or lack of motivation and that this would be an investment into what was to come for my thirties. Albeit a little grandiose and possibly a method of convincing myself that I “needed” this item. As I began to do the math in my head though I had been spending almost $15.00 a day for cigarettes, $5.00 a day on my morning double skim latte, a good $55.00 on bottles of wine, and another $250.00 on dining out and drinking at the bar. So really all I had to do was stick to this cleanse and quitting smoking gig for one week and this juicer would be paid off…..motivation was now found and a bit more purpose to this life altering turn of events, I had now invested in my health monetarily. So I grabbed a cart, put the juicer in, and then hit up the fruits and veggie aisles and began filling my cart. I raced through the check out and high tailed it home. I pulled the stainless steel contraption from the box, didn’t even rinse it out in the sink, I plunged two oranges, a handful of strawberries and a granny smith apple in the intake tube, watched a good glasses worth of juice come out the other end and gulped it down enthusiastically. This was pure goodness, as I took a breath between gulps I looked at my food list and realized I wasn’t allowed oranges….but was already almost done and decided to finish the glass. This juicer I knew would be well used over the course of this cleanse with many weeks and months to follow after that. Monday was day one in the office, my highs were extremely high. At one point I was wondering if I was cycling through mania with depression soon to follow. I yammered on in the office like a spun top not making much sense and my mouth not moving nearly fast enough to catch up with my thoughts. This craziness lasted a good 4 days…..then it happened. I awoke 5 days after I had began this cleanse and I was calm, rested, with an untapped source of energy that I hadn’t experienced in what felt like forever. My meals had begun to get more interesting as I mixed up spices, and tried different things. A person can only live on hard boiled eggs, avocado’s and tomato slices for so long till you either break the cleanse or you get adventurous. I started trying some of the recipes that came with the cleanse and albeit not as good as a slab of brie cheese with sweet chilli sauce on a slice of white baguette bread, but I knew the stuff was good for me, and possibly convinced myself that it was actually better tasting than it really was. Periodically through the week I had to face stress. One thing that I used to cope with a ten minute cigarette break and periodically went home after the day and had a cold beer on the couch. Now that I no longer had either of these vices to fall back on I had to learn to deal with my stress in the moment. I didn’t do so well in this department, I snapped at a co-worker a couple of times and my head seemed elsewhere and almost took myself to the bathroom to cry for a few moments. I googled how to deal with stress when quitting smoking and the like….I tried everything from running around the building to drinking glasses of water and everything led me back to the computer looking for what would fix this need for a fix. I wasn’t all that prepared for this, I knew it was on the horizon but I don’t think anyone can truly prepare for these times but bear down and push through. My office knew what I was putting my body through, but that didn’t decrease th

but that didn’t decrease the demand for my work output nor accuracy of what I was doing. The office was one of my biggest challenges and I survived that week, and I hope that subconsciously I learned some tactics in how to deal with stress. They mention in all the cleansing material online that you have to be prepared for meals and that it does take time and prep work….I became fully aware of all of this when I came home after a 14 hour day in the office and wanted something quick and easy….my mind wandered to pizza or a burger….I ended up with a chicken breast, brown rice, and veggies which I had prepped a day or so earlier and dinner was on the table in about the same amount of time a pizza would have taken in the oven. The weekend was soon approaching and was slightly nervous as to what I was going to do with my spare time, as mentioned above my weekends usually consisted of laying on the couch recounting what I had done the night before with numerous hours checking social networking sites to see what was on the go for that evening as well. That week had been busy for me in the office, worked till 9pm most evenings. Friday night I was home by 5, ate a couple filets of fish with some brown rice, garlic oven roasted vegetables, an avocado and a lemon garlic tahini sauce and was soon out like a light on the couch. I arose at 11pm and thought that the rest of my evening was going to be spent puttering around the apartment eyeing the drawer in which I knew I had a pack of cigarettes in and slowly playing the game of do I or don’t I. I checked my networking sites to bid farewell to my cyber buddies, drank another litre of water and curled up in bed and was soon sound asleep. I had been having relatively decent sleeps since this process had began. I had had some vivid dreams and awoke a couple of times, all associated with the trans-dermal patch I was wearing I think. But this Friday evening I slept right through till 8 am….still quite unheard of in my past 10 years waking up on a Saturday morning at 8 am and feeling refreshed. I got up, peeled off the patch from the day before, slapped the new one on and felt it burning….I knew it was working. Turned on the coffee maker, put a pot of water on for my oatmeal, fennel seed, soy milk and flax seed oil concoction and prepared my appetizer of 6 pills and the 30 drops of what ever into a shooter glass of water. I filled up the brita water filter jug to as full as it would get and turned the tv on. The sun was beaming in, I fired up my computer, tended to my wheatgrass that was only a day away from harvesting and put my breakfast together. I spent the next hour relaxing and checking my emails, watching the news and enjoying this quiet time to myself. Soon washed my dishes and then it began….what do I do now? It was time for exercise, I had done some additional walking throughout the week and had done “the trail” (a ten km semi paved, semi bikable, rocky/mountainous trail) previously during my time as a smoker and thought I would give it a go…my lungs were one week healthier than the week prior, it was beautiful and hell, I needed something to do. I got into my sweat pants, dawned a t-shirt and a very old hoodie jumped in the car and went to where the trail began. I walked for a good 5 minutes and thought I would give a light jog an attempt. I started slow and maintained the pace….expected to be winded within 30 seconds of jogging I held up for a good 10 minutes till I hit the rocky part of the trail. I bounced around like a mountain goat along the rocks till I hit the wooded boardwalks where I did a run just short of a sprint. This ensued for a good half hour till I hit the paved part of the trail, the halfway point. I was red faced and sweating profusely under the sun but my out of shape body was holding up. I

I continued the practice of running on the wooded boardwalks or bridges along the rest of this path. I soon stumbled back to my car 1 hour and 8 minutes later….was proud. I made my way home and guzzled another litre of water, I ran my hand through my hair and felt my scalp…it had been feeling raw for a good 4 or 5 days by now. I had grown up with horrible psoriasis and my scalp felt like it did then. I crawled into the shower and rinsed off the sweat from my body, then filled up the bathtub and began to soak. I covered my head in olive oil and put on a shower cap hoping this would soothe my head. The itchiness went away but it kept on peeling. I got all the oil out and let my scalp “rot” for the remainder of the day. I did some research online and this was all to be an expected side effect of the cleanse….my body was purging toxins and this condition was relatively common. The roommate came home and we shared a great glass of freshly juiced strawberry lemonade, sat out on the porch and caught up. Soon needing something to do we piled into the car on the hunt for bamboo….wanted to plant some in my front hall to liven things up….during one of my make busy projects that week I had acquired three mint plants and spent an evening potting them in my kitchen all in attempt at curving nicotine pangs…or the associated psychological habits of smoking so figured I would continue the planting in the house to later on give me yet another thing to do while home. To no avail there was no bamboo to be found, but we still got out of the house and onto the town for an afternoon of catching up. I had been invited to a party that evening and was still toying with the idea of going. But alas was cognisant of my triggers for both drinking and smoking and they came together so beautifully when faced with meeting strangers and was quite aware that there was going to be liquor and creamy, fatty, forbidden foods around which all equated to temptation that I was still not strong enough to say no to so I respectfully declined. I had an early dinner and went out for a walk to old town and back, came home and caught up on my pre-recorded programs from the week, popped some popcorn and soon was in bed. 30 May 2010 I spent my morning in almost the exact same fashion. This time though I had charged up my IPod and decided to do the trail again (this time with music). I pushed a little harder and completed the course in a mere 46 or 52 minutes….a noticeable improvement. As I came off the trail my work phone went off and was beckoned into the office, spent a good 3 hours there and then headed home for a well deserved shower where I tried an old fall back for the scalp and piled on some t-gel. The roomie and her boyfriend came home for a quick visit and we rocked out some more juice, they headed out and I cleaned the dishes, checked the emails, back to the kitchen to cook, eat and clean again, eat some supplements, drink a couple litres of water, then back in the car again to pick up some movies for the evening. Swung by the families house who still jokes at this cleanse, much as I would have done to others prior to embarking on this journey. Got home and watched a movie with the roomie, had a cup of tea and then headed to bed at 11pm. 31 May 2010 Now being Monday, my most dreaded day of the week I woke up to a fresh two cups of coffee, enough time to make up a portion of my oatmeal and treated myself to a soy latte on the way into work….needless to say that my Monday has noticeably improved from previous Mondays. This cleanse is done Tuesday evening where I will break this cleanse on Wednesday and have a small feast with lamb, mashed potatoes, some roasted vegetables and a small glass of wine. Most are coaxing me to a night of deep fried wings, beer and of course going out for bu

of course going out for burgers at lunch – but I can’t treat myself to all the items that landed me in this situation so taking it all in moderation. Then Thursday to go into another cleanse…the second cleanse is geared to getting me in shape while this one is geared to detoxifying the body. 11 Days in - smoke free and living a healthy lifestyle, I feel fantastic and couldn’t imagine going back to the lifestyle I lead only 11 days ago. I spent my 20’s going through university and living on kraft dinner, beer filled late nights and coping with lack of energy and hunger pangs with cigarettes and now as I go into my 30’s I feel like this will be my new path, albeit I will eat cheese again and I will imbibe from time to time, but more as an exception than a rule, and plan on this cleanse twice a year just to put me back on track. 4 June 2010 So day two of cleanse number two. I splurged the other night, on my one day break between cleanses. I drank orange juice, beer, had wine and cooked a lamb shank in processed sauces and more red wine. Throughout the evening I craved a cigarette, it was the wine that got me….a trigger. Before I could give it a second thought I ran to the drawer where I had my reserve stash of cigarettes and ran to the washroom, crumpled up the remaining 10 I had in there into the toilet and flushed. My body wanted a smoke but I myself did not, so I knew I had to rid myself of the temptation to remain on track. To what I thought would be an indulgence and something truly to cherish turned out to be a meal that was almost too rich for my newly revived taste buds and somewhat missed the self righteous pat on the back I was now used to giving myself for eating something that I knew was to my benefit. The following morning I woke up late for work with the horrible taste of wine in my mouth and a headache that wasn’t debilitating, more like that annoying mosquito in your room at night that you can never silence, kill or get rid of no matter how hard you try. My brain was fuddled and my body was in the throws of wanting simple carbohydrates to turn them into sugars for my body to continue on. I dragged my feet around the office for most of the day, I was pale and felt generally unwell. Going into day three of part two now and feeling a bit more back on track. I have taken two days off from my nightly runs/mountain goat hopping of 10kms. The supplements I am on don’t have the same effect as phase one – that being my guts wrenching to push out all the poison in my body. I looked in the mirror yesterday and have seen a noticeable change in my waist line. Not that I was huge to begin with, but my family has a long history of skinny men with big bellies. If you can imagine skinny arms, visible rib bones then a prominent basketball belly with spindly legs….hence the reasoning for stopping this process in its tracks. I also noticed a weight loss in my face, but even more impressive with the ample amounts of water I am taking into my body I find some of my wrinkles have plumped up and not nearly as pronounced as before. Although my scalp is still quite unhappy with me, so much so I went to a doctor yesterday and had a prescription filled for a topical steroid solution to put on my scalp twice daily. I still notice peeling in the shower but hopefully the worst of it has passed. 7 June 2010 Monday….my most dreaded day of the week, although much more palatable now than it was before. Now heading into week three of the cleanse and being smoke free. For children it’s the terrible two’s that people worry about, for reformed smokers it’s the number three that seems to hit them hardest. My three day mark has passed, now my week three mark is hitting and I found myself justifying having a cigarette last night. Completely out of boredom, and eating a

Completely out of boredom, and eating a giant meal (although healthy). I eventually talked myself out of it but thought I would have ridded myself of these simple mind tricks. Guess it wasn’t bound to be that easy, and after having chatted with other reformed smokers I am coming to learn that these pangs and cravings will continue to hit for years to come, although weakening as time goes by. I have to remember that I’ve been a rather dedicated smoker for over 10 years now and that breaking these habits in three weeks was not going to give me the pass to never wanting a cigarette again. In terms of the cleanse and the diet, I am spending ample amounts of money on fruits and vegetables which I was prepared for. I do get pangs of wanting to bite down in a slice of pizza, but am curious to know if it would be worth it? Would I still enjoy a greasy slice as much as I did before? Would it make me feel like crap like my last “cheating” experience….and worst of all what will I do if I don’t like it anymore…..will my indulgence from here on in be salted cashews vice almonds? 22 June 2010 So cleansing is now complete. I went about breaking this cleanse once again by destroying my body with vodka, beer, orange juice and cheese – then with the ensuing hangover continued on the war path with McDonalds for breakfast and then a giant plate of pasta for dinner – of course topped with Ranch dressing and cheese. Now two days afterwards my brain is still fuzzy and feel sluggish, but my legs are finally in working order once again. Since my last entry I had been downing pain killers and muscle relaxants as my legs were killing me from running so much. I had doubled my running distance in one day and since that day my body hasn’t been the same. Tonight will be the test as to if my body will once again allow me to run. If not I will have to get on my bicycle, which gets me around quicker but alas not as self gratifying as pounding pavement. I am back on the oatmeal, and roasted vegetables, my pants fit better and before breaking this cleanse I was feeling amazing so really don’t see any point in going back to pizza filled nights and 12 cups of coffee a day. I’ve seen improvements in the waist line and the “muffin top” is dissipating slowly but surely. One surprising thing is my legs, I’ve heard of muscle memory but my legs are almost as bulky and muscled as when I was a figure skater years ago. Either way I’m content and just have to remind myself that it would be easy to fall back on old habits but have put myself through the gears for the last 30 days, I shouldn’t be in a rush to reverse the good things happening in my body. 30 days to a healthier me, and will be 30 in a matter of weeks and truly do feel the benefits and am a lot more comfortable in this lifestyle choice than I have with any other. 30 days and a day without a cigarette and I am breathing better, I can run longer than when I started (30 seconds to 14kms aint too bad in a month) my food tastes different (but wouldn’t say better), my sense of smell is more in tune and no longer have to worry about burn holes in my sweaters or furniture. I even had the opportunity over the weekend to feel self righteous when someone offered me a cigarette and I was able to say “I don’t smoke” I’ve looked at my bank accounts and this was probably my first month where I didn’t have to use credit to make ends meet. My social life is well just as singular as before but I am developing hobbies that are to my benefit. End of the day….would I do this again??? The answer is a definite yes, I enjoyed this experience and feel better, there was no starvation involved, no crazy food that I was stuck with….this was more of a demonstration of the effects of a healthy diet and believe that I am hooked. I will repeat this cleans

after Christmas, they suggest twice a year and figure it the best time after the seasonal intake of bad food and great drink. I will forewarn all of you that I will continue to give accolades to this program, for those that have known me throughout my 20’s I’ve never been one of fads, and balked at hippie, wheatgrass culture….but maybe all those granola crunchers are onto something? So there you have it, an account of my cleansing experience. Thought I’d share the experience!

Hey guys... at the end of day 3 for me. So far so good- I think. I'm more determined than ever to do this right and NOT cheat... unlike every other attempt at dieting I've had. (I know this isn't a diet- but it is my first cleanse and past dieting is the only other thing I can compare to). I am allowed popcorn.. is the microwave kind ok?? And putting butter on it?? I've done this twice now and though the meal plan okays it it seems wrong to me... also, how important is eating 6 SMALL meals a day? I am trying to snack lots (healthily) to keep my metabolism up..but it seems my life is pretty busy to prepare enough food... today I ate 4 small meals (if you count a serving of fruit and a handful of almonds meals) and one somewhat large one. I want to benefit as much as possible from the cleanse.. any advice is greatly appreciated :) Also, are rice cakes and rice crackers okay?? Ceaser dressing? Black beans? (Confused about "dry beans" can't I just eat a can of re-friend or black beans?) Thank you so much!!!!

Oh, also... I'm a vegetarian and have been for practically my entire life (I do eat a small amount of seafood) so any meal ideas containing meat won't work for me :) Thanks again!

K. WTF. I started this cleanse with such high hopes based on all the great reviews... I am on day eight now, have not cheated once. I have been a vegetarian for years and I eat a ton of white flour crap. And I like my booze. And sugar. So I should have seen some good results by now! I have not lost ANY weight and my skin has broken out into 6 huge pimples, 4 of which are on my cheek where I have never had them before. Do all the beneficial results just show up on the last two, three days? Or are they gradual and I'm just not seeing them?? Sure, I have more energy but physically I don't look any better. When do these magical results occur??? I'm so frustrated!! I'm trying soooo hard!!
